[38] In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. [39] People didn't realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.

Mandeellaanis deebisanii "Dhukkuffataa ta'ee miti; dur yeroon mana hidhaa ture namichi kun eegduu mana hidhaa sanaa ture. Anis yeroon reebamee deebi'u baay'ee waanin dheebodhuuf akka bishaan naaf kennaniif iyyeen kadhadhan ture. Yeroo sana namichi kunimmoo qooda bishaanii dhufee fuulakoorratti fincaan fincaa'a ture. Har'a gaafan Prezidaantii ta'ee na argu waanin ijaa isa ba'u itti fakkaatee kanaaf sodaatee fuulakoo duratti akkas hollate" jedhan.

Obbolootakoo utuu nuyiitii nama akkas nu godhe kana maal goona laata? Dhuguma garaa dhiifamaa hanga kana ga'u qabnaa? Waaqayyo miidhama hangamiillee osoo ta'ee akka nuti ijaa baafannu osoo hin taane akka nuti garaa qulqulluu dhiifama goonu nurraa fedha.
"Namootaaf irradaddarbaasaanii yoo dhiiftan abbaan keessan inni waaqa irraa immoo isiniif ni dhiisa. Garuu isin namootaaf yoo dhiisuufii baattan, abbaan keessan immoo irra daddarbaa keessan isiniif hin dhiisu." Maatewoos 6: 14-15.
