WinSCP (Windows Secure Copy) የተሰኘ የፋይል ማስተላለፊያ ፕሮቶኮልን በመጠቀም ተጠቃሚዎችን ዒላማ ያደረጉ አሳሳች እና ተንኮል አዘል ሶፍትዌሮችን በጉግል ማስታወቂያዎች ላይ በማጣበቅ ወደ ስልካችን እንድንጭናቸው ከሚያደርጉን አጭበርባሪዎች እንጠንቀቅ ።

የሳይበር ጥቃት ፈፃሚዎቹ እንደ WinSCP ያሉ ሕጋዊ ሶፍትዌሮችን ለማውረድ የሚፈልጉ ተጠቃሚዎችን ተመሳስሎ የተሠራ ማልዌር እንዲጭኑ በማድረግ የተጭበረበሩ የፍለጋ ውጤቶችን እና ሐሰተኛ የጉግል ማስታወቂያዎችን ይጠቀማሉ።

አጥቂዎቹ በተንኮል አዘል ማስታወቂያ አማካኝነት ተጠቃሚውን ወደ ተንኮል አዘል የዎርድፕረስ ድረ-ገጽ gameeweb[.]com ይመራዋል፣ ይህም ተጠቃሚውን በአጥቂው ቁጥጥር ስር ወዳለው የማስገሪያ (phishing) ጣቢያ በመምራት መረጃዎችን ይዘርፉታል።
