Cinematic Composer & Producer Emilia has studied in the International Film Music Mentorship program "Momentum" (Los Angeles).

Emilia Takayama is a Helsinki / Askola -based composer and producer and one of the key creatives within the new producer roster of 1358 Syncs, planning to release her trailer sync EP later this year alongside with her debut album. 1358 Group is a new Helsinki based music company focused on management of music creators, their business and copyrights. She has also produced and composed music for international collaborations and immersive sound art works. Emilia's upcoming debut album, "Unsaid", will be featured by numerous musicians from all around the world. The first single and intro song of the album, "Awe", and the music video was chosen to be one of the finalists in the international film music contest in 2021 and was in the group of last seven finalists. The category was Films, TV series, Videos with Original Music. Emilia is very much inspired by cinematic & epic sceneries when making music - you can often hear the sounds of piano with clouds of pulsating, swirling harmonic elements & organic instruments, fused with electronic synths & beats. Here’s a short preview from my cinematic EP 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀.

This video offers a glimpse into all four pieces of the EP, a musical journey from awakening to inner strength and the courage to move forward.

The project was originally inspired by 𝗜𝗹𝗸𝗸𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗺ä𝗸𝗶’𝘀 Saa Mitä Haluat coaching work and the idea of collaborating through music.

I’m very happy to share my new cinematic EP 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀.

This four-track work moves through a quiet journey from awakening to inner strength and the courage to move forward. The music blends orchestral and cinematic hybrid elements and was originally inspired by 𝗜𝗹𝗸𝗸𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗺ä𝗸𝗶’𝘀 Saa Mitä Haluat coaching work and the idea of collaborating through music. 🎬 First post of the year!

Starting 2026 by sharing a collaboration I’m genuinely proud of.

I recently worked with Irina Björklund on a horror trailer track, where she brings an otherworldly edge through musical saw, instrumental vocals, and raw, SFX driven textures.

Irina has a long and versatile career across film, television, and music, with international screen work including The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Exploring her sonic and performative range together in a horror trailer context felt both natural and creatively sharp, pushing the musical saw into darker and more extreme horror territory.

This track leans into:
– unsettling atmospheres
– organic horror textures
– vocals that blur the line between music and sound design

More to come, but this felt like the right way to open the year, one of the stranger things I’ve created lately 🙌🖤

✨ Moments from SyncCamp, Sopot 2025 ✨

What an intense, beautiful and mind-stretching week it was.
We composed for film and commercials in rotating teams — long days, early mornings, fast turnarounds, and those surprising bursts of creativity just when you think you’re done.

The exhaustion, laughter and shared pressure created an environment where you learn the most. I met new friends, built meaningful connections, and grew not only as a composer and producer, but also as a collaborator — and as a human.

End-of-day listening sessions, Baltic Sea walks, chaotic studio swaps, intense creative moments… and those magical points when a team suddenly finds the sound together.

A big thank you to Marek Hojda for creating such an inspiring space to collaborate and connect.

✨ At the end of summer, I had the honor of being invited to join the Fund for Music Creators by the Finnish Music Creators’ Association.

The fund supports and strengthens the work of Finnish composers, lyricists, and arrangers – providing grants and building a community that carries music creators forward.

This invitation is a true mark of trust and also a reminder of the long and determined path I’ve been able to walk in this field. Working with music has been the core of my life for over two decades. It is a privilege to be part of this community – to carry responsibility and bring my own perspective into our shared work.

Thank you to Aku Toivonen and for this opportunity. I’m excited to see how we can together support and shape the journey of future music creators. 🎶

We have some sad news to share with - Mimo was diagnosed with lung cancer, which in the end progressed so quickly that on Friday we had to say goodbye to her. Yuno and Enni were both there to say farewell, and they are both doing well. The grief is bottomless. 💔

UPW 2025 – I’ve never experienced anything like this. Surrounded by thousands of people, the energy was unbelievable, and the powerful speakers shook my mind wide open. Over four days, wellness, personal energy, and life direction were all explored deeply – and the journey continues, stronger and more empowered than ever ❣️🔥
