Music by a Young Composer

One day, my student William (9 years old) came to his lesson and brought a melody of his own composition. We worked on the harmony and structure, and as a result, a small atmospheric piece emerged, which he called Moon Song.

Later, we recorded it, and now I am happy to present my student’s music to your attention!

Dear friends! 👋

🤘 November 23, the Strings and Things instrumental music festival will take place at Kino Konepaja in Helsinki! This year, the festival is held in collaboration with the youth organization Salad Days!

Our festival focuses on instrumental music 🎸🪕🎻, welcoming original compositions and unique arrangements, as well as performers of folk music or traditional string instruments.

We invite professionals, amateurs, and young musicians to participate in the festival—both solo performers and instrumental bands! 🔥

If you play a string instrument and want to join the festival as a performer, please fill out the application form and submit it along with your music or music videos!

This year we are focusing on acoustic instruments.

Applications will be accepted until October 30, 2025, and all submissions will be reviewed by November 1, 2025.

The most interesting performers will receive an invitation to participate in the festival! 💥
