The first 🇫🇮 adventure ends. What were the last days like? Mainly 🚴‍♀️ and ☀️ again and again… 😍

I dont know how typical or not is the weather like this for Helsinki in this moment of the year but I must admit however it was a wish it was such a big surprise. Weather forecast was still changing but mainly more and more sun rather than the rain. Even if the rain was in the game… guys, 1mm during the day… 😎

It was perfect time and conditions to explore the town this way. Good infrastructure makes it so easy to cross the city from south to the north or from the east to the west in just - let’s say 15-20 minutes. And it’s still such a pleasure. Nice views, greenery, interesting architecture. All of that was there during my last days of this trip.

Will I be back?
I guess so…

Architecture, museums and aaaall the design stuff. And the beautiful nature surroundings. Thats what definitely left almost untouched this time… 😉

Nevertheless there’s still much to look back on and admire these days… 🇫🇮💙

Well… if the weather in Finland forces you to the outdoor activities 3 days in a row… and when the kid on board… 👩‍👧

1️⃣ Hietaranta - quite big and lovely sandy beach with the volleyball courts and all to do around. Black geese the main attraction for the little ones when so eager to running away from them constantly 🦆

2️⃣ Korkesaari Zoo - not the biggest one but situated very pleasantly on the one of the islands surrounding the city. All the surface is car-free and given solely to the zoo park 🦭

3️⃣ Crazy winner - Linnanmäki - such a big and fabulous amusement park set on the hill over the city! The atmosphere there is just ecstatic and everything is so colourful that you’re stepping into the different world from the very first steps at the entrance. The rides are not cheap in fact, but there are all in the same price and when ready for all these freaky rides - you can get the day pass and get the unlimited. 🎢🤩

How to get such a scenic landscapes as a half-day trip from the capital only? The answer is: Helsinki - here it’s available just on demand 🛳🌊

The destination is Suomenlinna - the fortified island, just 10–15 min away by ferry from the city centre.

There are a few islands in fact, connected with each other. Huge complex, the fortress, service buildings, cafes, restaurants, hostel, even the prison. But also many many more. A lot of beautiful natural greenery and just these scenic views….

If keen on this site’s history background - take a moment to read some - could be really interesting but dont want to take a risk to choose the best of it.

Since yesterday was nothing but foodie day, today - new experiences on top💥

The morning ride with the Helsinki City Bike - so good deal and what a real pleasure to ride in this town! 🤍🚴‍♀️

Spotting the - one of the city’s best sauna where to do a break and get some chilling you’re jumping straight to the Baltic (or the Finnish Gulf… to be so precisely!) 🌊

- what a fun to swimming outdoor, with a clear view at the city centre! such a cool experience, especially when a swim lover! 🤍🏊🏻‍♀️

- great view! really nice with the sunny weather like having here today ☀️

Helsinki - thanks for such a good day. the day. good enough. 🙂🇫🇮

Ok! So what the first day in Helsinki was all about..? The SUN! ☀️☀️☀️

It was sooo warm welcome and all the weather conditions just perfect for make this day really easy and relaxing 😎

First of all: Kaivopuisto park - the winner of the day;) Quite big and situated naturally on rocks makes such a scenic landscapes… 🫠

What’s more?
Hietalahden Kauppahalli - a fresh food market and really cool food hall with nice terraces. With the weather like today - just the perfect place for having lunch.

Well… of course, there was also the late afternoon and the evening… but there was also the small human being and everything apart from the park’s playground was really terrible during this bad wednesday… 🙄

Luckily the sauna restored the harmony in my mind 😏

What I HAVE NOT visit in Lisbon, Belem yet but definitely it’s worth to…?

1️⃣ MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology) - I mean inside. Inspiring place to explore in my opinion. Superb outdoor space
2️⃣ Centro Cultural de Belem - concerts, exhibitions, galleries - to name only a few
3️⃣ Museu Nacional dos Coches (National Coach Museum) - quite unique, nice prove of automobile history

Next time, huh? 😎

Are you the funiculars & lifts’ fan? 😍
The list of the 6 must-see spots in Lisbon is here for you: ❗️

1️⃣ Elevador da Bica - what a cute connection between party Bairro Alto and always busy Cais do Sodre 🚊
2️⃣ Elevador da Gloria - probably the most cool and one-of-a-kind I’ve ever seen. With a fantastic rebellious soul from the very first sight!
3️⃣ Elevador de Santa Justa - hmm… that’s one is a little different though. Operates since the 19th century and is a really industrial age marvel. Truly unique tourist attraction ✨
4️⃣ Padrao dos Descobrimentos’ inside lift - can bring you away to the on-top terrace, just the 52-meters above the surface! Worth to take a ride!
5️⃣ The Pilar 7 Bridge Experience - Ponte 25 de Abril - the main experience involves an elevator taking you up to the proper road level od this magnificent bridge. And being there means you have the opportunity to step on the glass platform way up over the streets below and the Tag riverside in general. Surely just a good viewpoint.
6️⃣ Teleferico do Parque das Nacoes - Telecabine Lisboa - last but definitely not least! Very nice point of the typical „Oceanario Day”! Great views literally from over the Tag river! 🚡
