Big, BIG, things are coming! 🎬

From the rugged Wild West desert to the shimmering Northern Lights, and every one of “Mom’s” incredible travels in between, virtual production brought these stories to life—seamlessly and efficiently.

And just like that, we're into the last month of 2024! November brought exciting moments to Fireframe Studios, including a visit from Elina Valtonen , Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs. We’re honored by her support, which reflects a shared vision for advancing Finland’s film industry and recognizing Fireframe's charge in virtual production as a leading role in the future of filmmaking.

We also celebrated wrapping up the intricate miniature stop-motion production, Martina, and had the privilege of representing Fireframe at several cutting-edge digital conferences across Europe. As we close out the year, we’re already looking ahead to even bigger projects and opportunities in 2025! Stay tuned—there’s much more to come.

Fireframe Studios celebrates the achievement of the collaboration with EXPA JKL and Digi & Game Center on becoming Finland's first—and the northernmost in the world—Unreal Authorized Training Center!

This milestone strengthens Finland’s position as a hub for creative technology, expanding Unreal Engine training to industries like film, gaming, architecture, and education. At Fireframe, we’re proud to have been part of this journey, advancing real-time storytelling and immersive production.

If you’ve been keeping up with us, you’ve likely caught glimpses of the stunning miniature sets coming to life at Fireframe Studios. They’re part of Martina, a stop-motion production directed by Diego Vazquez Lozano. We’ve brought the deserts of Mexico to life in Helsinki by seamlessly blending handcrafted miniatures with CG character animation and our LED volume. With every detail thoughtfully planned in Unreal Engine from the blueprint of the physical props to pre-visualizing the entire film, we’re creating a story that feels both intimate and groundbreaking.

Here’s a sneak peek into how we’re using AI to enhance our creative process. With AI tools like ComfyUI, our team can import sketches, references, and prompts to generate 3D images that bring concepts to life in vivid detail. This AI workflow allows us to explore and refine ideas quickly, giving our team more freedom to innovate. From new worlds to creatures, body builders, and everything in between, our creation knows no bounds.

We transformed our studio into an arctic seascape, complete with snowstorms and a towering icebreaker on our LED stage. Every detail is artistically and technically curated as we blend on-location footage with in-house set design, bringing a new level of precision to each scene.
