Limited to 40 copies.

Petrichor was put together from various recording sessions during a period from August 2018 to February 2019.
All music on the album is improvised.
Only careful minimal editing was made.
The word petrichor is constructed from the Greek words "petra", meaning stone, and "ichor", the fluid that runs in the veins of Greek gods.
It refers to the pleasant earthy smell produced when raindrops hit dry soil, releasing plant oils absorbed in the soil and rocks.
In their music Dugong Dugon's goal is to release these notes by moving towards the sounds and pulling out harmonies and disharmonies from the consciousness.

Dugong Dugon is a Helsinki-based experimental music duo that creates ambient soundscapes with effect laden violin, electric guitar and loopers.
Dugong Dugon are violinist Sanna Komi (Cats of Transnistria, Ko:Mi, Pintandwefall, Kynnet) and guitarist/producer Tuomas Alatalo (Cats of Transnistria, Nykyaika).
Besides being bandmates in the experimental dream pop trio Cats of Transnistria, Komi and Alatalo have also collaborated in various art projects.

"Thinking about the words angel oil makes me think of an extract or purified form of good... to me loudness and the physical sides of sound without melody or structure always had this innate quality of goodness to them, that allows me to reach catharsis. I'm not so interested in depressive noise... I'm more interested in noise music (and the performance of it) as free expression and at its best even an active meditation for soothing the individual, and that's what is recorded on Angel Oil."
