Wash and shine! 💦✨
Vene pesty, kiillotettu ja kyljet pinnoitettu keraamisella pinnoitteella. Ja tietenkin täysin biohajoava pesuaine on ainoa joka meille kelpaa.
Pääsisikö kohta jo vesille?

Even though we are deeply touched and anxious of the war and the humanitarian emergency in Ukraine 💛💙 our work for the future continues. We want to thank all the young sailors who applied for the Youth Offshore Academy. 🙏
We are in the process of going through the applications and hope to have a selection on fine sailors during the next few weeks.
Stay tuned for updates. The sailors that will move forward in the application process are contacted by our team.
Zer°emission is searching for new teammates and looking forward to coaching young talented sailors, who are willing to further develop their sailing skills and contribute to the program on many levels. The Youth Offshore Academy aims to give an opportunity for young sailors to take the next step on building their professional sailing career, by training the sailors on all different aspects needed for a victorious sailing career.
If you are passionate about sailing and eager to learn as well as prepared to give your best to support the team on different tasks on shore, do not hesitate to join the Race Against Sea Pollution!
The search for future offshore champions is open from Valentines day until the end of February. After the application process 17 new members between 18 and 30 years will be chosen to participate in the Zer°emission project.
The Youth Offshore Academy is supported by the Finnish Sailing and Boating Federation (Suomen Purjehdus ja Veneily).
After a challenging season in 2021 team Zer°emission is looking to fight back stronger than ever before, inviting new owners to the project platform and putting efforts to maintain and further develop the TP52 race boat as well as building a strong team that will raise future offshore sailing champions.
The season 2022 will be kicked off with the launch of a new program as the search for future offshore champions begins with the Youth Offshore Academy program.

**ROLEX MIDDLE SEA RACE RECAP WITH SAMULI**
The Rolex Middle Sea Race was rough on the crew and the whole journey was a hell of a ride for the team and our skipper Samuli Leisti, who led the boat and the crew through extreme conditions at the legendary race.
The pressure didn't ease on Samuli even after the race, when the transfer sail from Malta was abandoned due to extreme conditions and keeping the transfer crew safe and the boat in one piece became an issue once again. The journey was delayed and the pressure on the skippers mind kept building. After a few days of recovery back in Helsinki I met with the skippy and he talks us through the race.
“I was driving the boat at her and my limits. I could barely see the instruments and keep some track on the AIS, but had absolutely no visibility outside the boat due to the heavy rain. The night was rough with only lightnings in the pitch black sky. At some point we lost the instruments, caused by the lightning very close, but luckily got them back later on.” Samuli continues.
Zer°emission on ehdolla kahdessa kategoriassa 🙏 ÄÄNESTÄ MEITÄ NYT! 🙏
1. Vuoden veneilyteko ⛵
3. Vuoden vastuullisuusteko 🌱
Zer0emissionin saama laaja medianäkyvyys etenkin ulkomailla tuo vastuullisuus ajatukset jokaisen katsojan mieleen.”
Kiitos! 🙏🙏
Veneilijät voivat tänäkin vuonna vaikuttaa kolmessa kategoriassa siihen, kuka palkinnot saa. Vuoden veneilyn mediateko-, Vuoden veneilytapahtuma- ja Vuoden vastuullisuusteko -kategorian […]

A love of the sea is at the heart of what we do. Sailors live from and for the sea. Our vulnerability to the natural elements is total. But one of the things we’re suffering the most from is not natural. Rather, it's the opposite. We’ve seen plastic bottles, styrofoam, plastic bags, Crocs, and balloons floating in the harbours. The pollution in our sea is pretty unreal and tragic. We refuse to close our eyes anymore. Zer°emission – the race agains sea pollution has started.
Zer°emission is there where it all happens. The team of sailors will participate in significant sailracing events during 2019-2020 with a modern TP52-class raceboat. We will work with fourteen race host cities throughout the program, striving to impact, influence and change views on marine sustainability during our stay and over the media. The Zer°emission project brings a Seabin trash skimmer to clean up the event marinas. The Seabin is donated to the project by Wärtsilä. The crew will also organize and participate in waste cleaning actions cleaning the Marinas and coasts before races.
Through our sustainability program our partners can utilize sailing sports affinity and visibility in media to raise awareness of the marine pollution. We will engage our audience with creative actions and programs created together with our partners. Our work is ongoing during our stay and through media.
The Zer°emission society consists of sailors and media professionals with only one task in mind – to win the race against sea pollution. One of the Zer°emission crew members is the Finnish actor Mikko Leppilampi, who lost his heart to the sea whilst crossing the Atlantic. Leppilampi wants to give his own effort to the work for cleaner seas.
Zer°emission team leader Samuli Leisti has seen a dramatic change in the conditions of our oceans through the years. “We have to act now and stop “just planning” actions for cleaning the seas. In my opinion sailing is naturally one of the most suitable sports to raise awareness of se pollution. The nature gives us a great possibility to do what we love, and we have to start giving back. Through the Zer°emission -project we want to perform tangible and noticeable acts for cleaner seas and motivate everyone to join us in our mission.”
Our quest is supported by Wärtsilä, Mercedes-Benz, Finnlines, North Sails, SAS.COM, B&G ja B1G
