Wah gwaan? The help of all Jamaica's friends around the world is needed now! 🙏 🇯🇲🙏
Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica hard two weeks ago and left the island with very bad damages, many people lost their homes and the possibility to work and provide for their families. The west and south coasts of the island in particular are a one big reconstruction project to start, which is being carried out with volunteer efforts while the supplies are lacking. Jamaica's economy is not able to take care of the repairs in a way that ordinary people's lives could return to normal.
Reggae Stomp, One Love Helsinki and Ghetto Blaster Sound are organizing a fundraising and support concert in Helsinki at Tavastia on Thursday 4.12. with the local artists, dj's and dancers.
The evening will feature performances by Jukka Poika, Raappana, Bess and Paleface, backed by a live band, as well as many many other artists, DJs and dancers. All proceeds from the evening will be sent to Jamaica for the needy and will be donated through the GiveDirectly organization. Small scale money collection permit. RA/2025/1732.
