Meet our speaker, Milja Mäkelä ✨
Milja Mäkelä is the COO of FiBAN, a former startup founder, and a seasoned marketing and communications consultant with a focus on tech startups, PR, and storytelling. A creative professional at heart, she has led crowdfunding campaigns for films and cultural projects and represents FiBAN on Finland’s Creative Economy Advisory Board.

Her mission is to build a strong bridge between the startup ecosystem and the creative industries, bringing a growth mindset and scalable strategies from the world of startups into the cultural and innovative economy.

Milla Kokko is a strategist, startup entrepreneur, and expert in radical creativity. Over the past 20 years, she has built extensive expertise in international brand and concept design, design work, marketing and communications strategies, business model development, and a wide range of co-creation methods.

Milla is also a co-founder and board member (2021–2023), as well as former CEO (2017–2022), of HEI Schools(heischools.com), an award-winning Finnish growth company bringing a pioneering early childhood education model to global markets.
Her passions include creating experiences of beauty, developing communal spaces and architecture, and embracing radically creative ways of thinking and acting.
