🌏 Episode 1/5 of our new mini series is now out in .stories !

🌀Spiraali is a five-part comedy series that addresses observations and anxieties related to climate change. The series’ darkly absurd humor is based on real-life observations, revealing the distortions and contradictions of five very different situations.

🌀The series features events such as a greenwashing situation in a fast fashion store, politicians discussing in the backstage of a climate conference, and an Intercity train announcer experiencing an existential crisis. And many more!

Spiraali is a short form series for Yle.

thoughts about Primal Therapy’s festival round 🌪️ ”Now that our festival round has come to an end, I want to appreciate this multiyear project and how many places it took us. Last year our 20 min absurd comedy short film Primal Therapy / Suoterapia was screened around the globe and I got to visit festivals with it here in Finland, but also Uk, Ireland, Germany and Hungary! Those experiences showed me the internationality of the industry, and that our comedy is no joke! I was quite surprised by how well it was received, people finding the depth of social criticism that was covered in male nudity and absurdity. It showed me that what we have here can be received and understood, even liked, which is quite a validation! I mean I’ve been watching british comedy since Mr.Bean and swooosh time goes by and I’m in britain, sitting in a sold-out venue, in the middle of an audience that’s laughing their asses off watching the film I wrote and directed. That’s absurd! In some screenings I just leaned back and observed people laugh. Maybe a bit smug, but you gotta get that validation from somewhere! We got to screen in many Oscar and Bafta qualifying festivals, and won awards in eight different countries, Tampere Film Festival and Cottbus FF to mention the mightiest. When we started this we had no funding, so ending up giving speeches with flower bouquets abroad felt like I’m living in the rare fragment of the universe where everything went as well as it could. For all of this I’m obviously very proud and thankful.”

Greetings from the Swedish ship Götheborg!

For the next few weeks I'm part of the ships crew, working as a deckhand, and I'm also filming Life on board.

The ship is the largest wooden sailing ship in the world, and it is absolutely beautiful. But with great size comes great amount of work. Life as a deckhand is hard, but really rewarding. We have such amazing people with different nationalities and backrounds on board, and it is a priviledge to be a part of this journey. Please check the ship out

A lot of work goes into keeping the ship afloat.
Since this has been a big dream of mine, I will update some stuff also here. I'm doing film work on board, and I will try to update about the content I create.
