Wow....NewsBang........what a name! "What is NewsBang?" "What news is banging?" "I learnt you guys have floated an online news platform. Is it pro-Buhari or anti-Buhari" "Who are in the team?" "What is it premised upon?" "Is it daily or periodical?" "When are you flagging off the platform?" Those are some of the questions that have flooded my mail since my friends got an inkling of my involvement in the formation of an online news platform-NewsBang. Someone had even erroneously concluded that the platform is anti-government simply because of my hard stance against the Buhari led administration. I am sorry; I will disappoint you. Contrary to such expectations, the online news platform is neither pro nor anti Buhari.
However, the following facts will suffice to address all the above questions:
1. NewsBang is an independent Daily Online News Platform.
2. It is a platform that is strongly committed to promoting good governance, democratic ethos and social values through qualitative journalism.
3. It is neither pro nor anti government (Buhari), but aimed at promoting fair and balanced news coverage and delivery that will stand against every form of corruption, oppression and injustice irrespective of whose ox is gored.
4. It is neutral as it is not attached or connected with any political party. It maintains Non-Alignment Policy.
5. In the team, we have professional journalists and those of us who have natural passion and flair for writing.
6. It is being cooked; vital condiments and necessary flavours already added, and almost ready to be served.... WATCH OUT
