Valentina is an Italian knitwear designer and the creative force behind her hand-dyed yarn and pattern brand, SnailYarn. It’s where her passion for artistry and craft meet — a unique blend of bespoke colours and thoughtful design. Her work is rooted in a deep love for colour and the endless possibilities of wool and texture.
As a designer, Valentina creates pieces that are simple, fun, and engaging to knit. Her patterns let the yarns and colours shine, while giving knitters plenty of room for creative interpretation. 🧶🌈
For Tukubook Valentina designed Havina — a versatile triangular shawl available in three sizes, from a small neckerchief to a large, cozy wrap. Inspired by the simplicity of Finnish style and enhanced with subtle textures, it’s worked sideways with an impeccable knitted-on i-cord edge for a polished finish.
Havina features simple two-colour slipped stitch patterns that create a beautiful colour progression — a gentle crescendo where the main colour slowly fades and the contrast colour emerges, transforming the shawl as it grows. It’s simple, satisfying, and a joy to wear. ✨
