Meet Ines Garcia Suárez (.knits) ✨

Ines works full-time as a knitwear designer and teacher, and she’s truly passionate about her craft. With a background in fashion design, pattern making, and tailoring, her knitwear always carries a touch of that expertise — whether it’s through special constructions, unique techniques, or a hint of tailoring. 🧶✂️

For Tukubook, Ines created the Not a Granny Cardigan. Inspired by the nostalgia of classic granny squares, this design offers a fresh and playful twist. Two knitted hexagons form a clever construction that’s fun to make and eye-catching to wear. Thoughtful, modern, and full of personality — this is definitely not your grandma’s cardigan! 🌟

Meet Beatrice () ✨

For Tukubook, Beatrice designed the TukuTank Top: a simple stockinette piece that works beautifully both as a top and as a slipover. Meet Marion Bulin () ✨

Marion is a knitwear designer from Berlin, Germany — and a true 24/7 yarnie. As co-owner of and as well as co-organizer of the Yarnfestival, she is surrounded by yarn and the knitting community every day. Beyond running her yarnie world, Marion loves to design huge shawls and cowls, always playing with colour and texture. 🧶🌈

For Tukubook, Marion designed Margo — a generously sized shawl inspired by the graphic artwork of British artist Margo Selby. Its rhythmic motifs and clean structure invite knitters to experiment with colour: go bold and bright or keep it classic and timeless. Either way, Margo is both a statement piece and a trusted companion on chilly days. ✨

Tukubook is a tribute to knitting and Finnish craft heritage — but above all, it is a love letter to Tukuwool and Finnish wool. 💌✨

This book was born from a deep love for yarn that carries landscapes, memories, and the quiet strength of Finnish handcraft tradition. Tukuwool is not just a yarn brand: it’s a story that travels from fingertips to the heart. It feels like the Finnish landscape itself — frostbitten fields, forest trails, cottage views, old spruce trees, the backyard sauna, and the stillness of the north. 🌲❄️

Tukuwool’s journey began in 2014 as one person’s dream: to create a domestic, rustic, and honest yarn made from Finnish wool. In 2016, the yarn found a new home with Tiina Huhtaniemi owner of the yarn shop in Jyväskylä. With Tiina’s vision, the shop’s expertise, and the support of an enthusiastic knitting community, Tukuwool started to grow roots — and bloom. 🌿

Since then, Tukuwool has become inseparable from the spirit of Titityy: carefully chosen yarns, a deep understanding of materials, and above all, a passion for knitting. Under these hands, Tukuwool has evolved into something uniquely its own — deeply rooted in Finland, yet open to the world. 🌍💚

Today, Tukuwool is close to the hearts of knitters everywhere. Its roots lie deep in Finnish soil, but its branches reach an international community that values authenticity, natural materials, and the stories behind the yarn. Meet Hannemari Lehtonen () ✨

Hannemari loves to design textured knits, lace, and cables. Her inspiration comes from people, places, moments in time — and especially from yarns and their colours. She hopes her designs bring joy to everyone who knits them. 🌿🧶

For Tukubook, Hannemari created 90’s Jovi — a bold and playful tribute to the oversized, colourful, and wonderfully quirky sweaters of the 1990s. With its mix of textures and six different shades, this design lets your personality shine and makes the perfect scrap yarn project. 🌈✨

Meet Maria Gomes () ✨

Maria, also known as Maria G Knits, is a knitwear designer and knitting teacher based in Maia, Portugal. Taught by her mother and grandmother at age six, she has been passionate about knitting ever since.

In 2019, after more than two decades in the corporate world, Maria dedicated herself fully to her craft. Her designs are casual and comfortable, always with thoughtful details. She teaches workshops regularly and runs Maria’s Knitting Club, an online community where knitters around the world connect weekly.

For Tukubook, Maria designed the Vine Socks, inspired by castles and the lush greenery that surrounds them. A twisted stitch pattern brings elegant texture, while rustic wool adds sturdiness — keeping toes warm even on the coldest winter days. 🧦🌿

Since 2023, Maria has also been organizing knitting retreats in Portugal, bringing together knitters and international designers for unforgettable experiences. She is the co-founder of Knit with Friends, the first yarn festival in Portugal, held annually in Porto. 🧶✨

Meet Johanna Ärje (.annajohanna._ ) ✨

Johanna, known as Anna Johanna, is a Finnish knitwear designer with a romantic touch. Her goal is to create timeless pieces with just the right twist to keep knitting engaging and enjoyable. 🧶🌿

For Tukubook, Johanna designed Still Life — a soothing and effortless lace sweater made for quiet moments, when the world slows down and you find peace in your stitches. With its soft warmth, graceful drape, and relaxed fit, Still Life is the kind of knit you’ll want to return to again and again. ✨

Beyond her own design, Johanna played a key role behind the scenes: she edited and translated the patterns, helping to shape Tukubook into a clear and inspiring collection for knitters everywhere. 💫
