Kai Vesa discovered disc golf in 1994 when the Vihioja disc golf course was established, and he has been passionate about the sport ever since. He has actively competed throughout this time and has made significant contributions to the growth of the sport.

In 2006, Finnish entrepreneur Kai Vesa embarked on a journey that would significantly impact the disc golf community. Initially, Prodiscus began as an importer of disc golf products. However, Kai's vision extended beyond distribution; he aspired to create a comprehensive line of high-quality disc golf equipment, including discs, bags, and accessories. This ambition led to the establishment of Prodiscus as Finland's first disc golf brand and manufacturer, proudly producing all its discs domestically.
