🫐 Did you know that cloudberries grow wild only in the Arctic?

Today I headed out to a Finnish
bog to pick fresh cloudberries, one of Lapland's most treasured wild berries.

Later, I'll turn them into homemade cloudberry jam, which I serve with traditional Finnish Leipäjuusto (Finnish squeaky cheese) grilled over an open campfire as part of my BBQ experiences.

For me, guiding isn't just about showing beautiful places—it's also about sharing authentic local flavours, traditions, and the simple joys of life in Lapland.
This is the true taste of the Arctic. ❤️

Did you know that the Northern Lights season in Finnish Lapland begins in just over a month?

In fact, late August is one of my favourite times of the year to see the Aurora.
✨ It's dark enough after midnight for the Northern Lights to appear.
🌲 The forests are so dark that even the moonlight rarely affects the viewing.
🚶 You can spend much longer outdoors because it's far warmer than in the middle of winter.
🤍 There are no crowds, no rush—just peaceful Arctic nature.

After a milder period with some rain here in Lapland, I’m happy to say:
