In 2011 Tommy started to make music and upload it online under the name BasementStudios. At the beginning of his career, he was focused on making electronic music, such as House and EDM. Later with the upgrading of software and hardware, they decided to move into the world of Hip-Hop. Tommy would spend hours upon hours in a room creating beats a
nd releasing them on his SoundCloud page. Tommy was giving ideas on song structures and melodies & finally took care of the overall production all by himself. Tommy were in the group of producers, but figured out that it's better to him as the artist to be by himself. He's still open for collabing with other producers by the name of making the art. The year 2015 could be considered a major turning point for the studio. That was when BasementStudios started releasing music on a regular basis and with a higher emphasis on quality. A new instrumental would be released every Sunday with the addition of . Distributing was increased as well, whether it was contacting people via the web or taking albums to a record store and giving them away for free. Nowadays Tommy is the founder of BasementStudios, and takes care of marketing, recruitment, web designing as well as producing. RELEASES
In 2015 BasementStudios released an EP called “The Golden Life”. It features the tracks “House Party”, “Warning $igns” and “Mrs. The idea of this EP was mainly to demonstrate the variety of genres that Tommy was capable of making (The 1st track being Funk styled, the 2nd Gangsta Rap and the 3rd R&B influenced). Later in 2016, the instrumental "House Party" was used by Finnish rappers Taisto Tapulist and Kasper Vee. In the winter of 2016 BasementStudios released their second instrumental EP by the name of "Love Games". The album has a mostly R&B styled feel to it, with strong melodies and vocal hooks. The EP features three tracks: "No Answers", "Read Your Mind" and "Quite Like You". BasementStudios' third EP called "Welcome To My Hood" was released in the winter of 2016. It features two instrumentals, that both share a similar, gangsta trap style. The first track, "On The Hustle" was later used by Finnish rappers Pikkis and Lukas. The fourth EP "Still Strong" consists of tracks that include sung vocal hooks in each one. Stylistically the album doesn't have one main genre, but instead features everything from smooth Old-School instrumentals to club-styled bangers. In the spring of 2016, the EP "Rise To The Top" was released. Similarly to "Welcome To My Hood", this album too has just a pair of instrumentals, but they both have their own distinct styled. While the first instrumental "Ice Cold" has a club vibe to it, the succeeding "One Of Them" is a darker boom bap beat. The summer of 2016 brought many different releases from Tommy. The first of which was a big, 26-instrumental mixtape, that featured numerous different genres and styles. Again, the goal of this release was to showcase the skills in producing multiple different genres. INFLUENCES
