Next Max Duck Records release — July 5, 2026.

Originally written as a Max and the Ducks song, this track has now been reimagined in the “Starlite Seven” version. It was first intended to be part of the MATD album, but eventually evolved into something completely different — transforming from the original pop song into the more sophisticated, calm, and cool track, “When We Were 17.”

This song tells the story of looking back on life and remembering all the great moments we once had. And of course… the first kiss.

Max Duck Records Oy announces:

The next single from Starlite Seven, “When We Were 17”, will be released on June 5.

The song is originally written by Max and the Ducks (Marcos Kuusjärvi & Veli Eronen) and tells a heartfelt story about youth, memories, and how life does not always turn out the way we once imagined when we were young.

Just like the original version, this recording is performed as a duet and captures the bittersweet feeling of growing older, looking back, and realizing how dreams and reality often take different paths.

Dreamin' Of Thee - MATD feat Gaugolon (Orchestral) Summer 2026 Bonus Track

This summer, MATD will finally release the long-awaited orchestral version of Dreamin’ Of Thee, produced by Gaugolon.

Originally created several years ago, the song was first released only as a rock version featuring elements of a classical orchestra woven into the background. Now, the full orchestral arrangement will officially see the light of day as a bonus track on the upcoming MATD single release.

Before the official release, fans will also have the chance to hear the track on the band’s YouTube channel.

Prepare for a powerful and emotional orchestral interpretation built around an important and timeless subject. Dreamin’ Of Thee reflects on death, war, and the tragic futility of conflicts that continue to rage across the world today. Innocent people suffer, and in the end only memories and dreams remain of those who are forced to give their lives because of the greed, cruelty, and indifference of those in power.
