We’re excited to open a new recruitment opportunity for families who are ready to build their future together in Finland.

Who can apply?
We are looking for:
• Couples where both partners are BSN-qualified nurses
• Single parents who are BSN-qualified nurses

What does the program include?

✅ Full-time apprenticeship employment combining work and studies, leading to a Finnish practical nurse (lähihoitaja) qualification

✅ Salary according to the applicable collective agreement, starting from approximately €2,200+ per month, with additional compensation for special working hours and overtime

✅ Free, mandatory Finnish-language training up to A2.2 before deployment

✅ Visa sponsorship for the whole family as well as paperwork support

✅ Support with settling into Finland, including airport pickup, finding accommodation, and assistance with daycare and school arrangements

✅ 24/7 support hotline after arrival

✅ The amazing opportunity for your family to relocate to Finland together!!

📚 Language training
Shortlisted families will first complete approximately 3 weeks of self-study, followed by structured Finnish-language training lasting around 6–7 months.

To succeed in the program, applicants should be prepared to:
• Dedicate at least 2 hours per day to Finnish-language studies
• Have a stable internet connection and a laptop for online learning
• Commit consistently to the language-training program

Not all home care roles are the same in Finland! 🩺

People often ask if a caregiver and a lähihoitaja (practical nurse) are the same thing. I totally get why it looks that way from the outside!

Here in Finland, lähihoitaja is a formal 3-year vocational healthcare qualification whose title is strictly protected and regulated by Valvira (the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health).

While both roles help with daily living, only trained healthcare professionals can handle medical tasks—such as getting a lääkelupa (medication permit) to dispense prescription drugs, manage insulin, and monitor clinical health.

At the end of the day, whatever the position name is, every role in healthcare is so important. We couldn't support our communities without teamwork!
