Our R&D is driven by one simple principle: listen to the customers. Every innovation and products reflects the real-world feedback from customers, racers, and off-road enthusiasts who use their vehicles in a wide variety of terrains and conditions.

For you who have followed our journey longer time, you may remember that almost 2 years a go, we did show a picture about adjustable weight arms for CFMOTO Gen3 model OmniDrive Clutches.

And when we published the Stage 3 kit for those, we did mention that most of the users don't need primary kit, and thats why our Stage 3 Kit contains only new multiangle helix and a TRAIL Spring or MUD Spring.

Well, at the same time we did fine tune our weight arm kit.
And most important, we did fine tune our Power ECU software to mach with the new weight arms.

As an Clutch Kit designers, we face the challenge of designing parts that perform across a wide range of uses. No component is more sensitive to these variables than the CVT clutch system. Because clutching must be tuned based on load, terrain, speed, and temperature, we continually test and refine our systems to ensure maximum performance—right out of the box.

That's why we waited to fine tune our Power ECU software and get all the testing ready for the Adjustable weight arms!

Now it is time!
90% of users the previous Stage 3 kit ( Trail or MUD) is the best option!
But then the 10% who like to fine tune everything or have option for that. This is for you guys!!!

These are only good with Power ECU or tune with same software!!!
If you try to use these with stock tune, its game of give and take. More Power to low end to wheelies and acceleration but at same that is out from the top end...

Thats why we only recommend these with Power ECU!!

Why ATV or SSV is feeling sluggish or performance is not like promised?
And how to fix it?

Many times, there is big difference of two same model of unit.
At new completely stock units and especially when there are some modifications.
And usually when talking about bigger 1000 units the differences is bigger.

For example, let's take two exactly same GEN2 ZFORCE 950 SPORT
Both unit with same bigger tires and same clutch kit, but you can easily find that other is not performing the same?
The acceleration is slower on other one, and WOT RPMs (wide open throttle) is lower.
And it has belt slips and can even snap belts really easy.
Unit is completely new and doesn’t give any fault codes.

Why, it is like that???

Let's take another example, gen3 CFORCE 1000.

After 2000-3000km you’re lacking on speed and acceleration is slower that before.
Clutches are all good but somehow you are not still getting same speed and performance than when it was new?

Or two completely new Gen3 CFORCE 1000 units and other is clearly more responsive than other.

-First to check is valve clearance and then fuel pressure.

-After that if everything is good but you’re still wondering that what can cause the problem.
The most likely is that your O2 sensors are giving wrong information.

-Usually, these engines have given O2 fault at some point and that has goon away when just clearing the codes.

-Fault code clearing doesn't fix anything.
Its indicator that there is something wrong in the system.

-O2 sensors are little tricky many times.
In the ECU there is MIN and MAX value of O2 sensors reading (AFR) and many times there is miss reading in O2 sensors what is making engine fuel mixture too lean or too rich.
And most common is that its reading fuel mixture too lean and ECU self-adjusting makes correction and after that the fuel mixture is too rich.

-When Fuel mixture is too rich, it will kill engine torque and with CVT system what is based on torque sensing upshifting and downshifting, the results are reduced performance!

-At the same that too rich fuel mixture will usually burn your catalysator and that’s why just the new O2 sensors will not make any difference.

All this will eventually show as on poor performance and really hot exhaust headers. Header pipe can be red hot and you can feel your legs burning when driving...
This will eventually show as cracked header pipe.

Another symptom is when you get fuel in oil, extremely hot exhaust gasses, and again burn/melt catalysator in exhaust pipe.
And when catalysator elements have melted, it will block your exhaust flow and you see this first by poor engine power, bad throttle response and reduced top speed!

The basic is that if you have poor performance, there is always a reason for that!
Basic engines are always quite same when comparing those in engine dyno.
The real difference is cause of electronics, MAP sensors /O2 sensors / Fuel pump / Ignition coils or even your Battery!

If you have bad Battery and low voltage, the ECU go to safe mode and takes timing off from your engine to protect it!

If your WOT rpm is not the same than other same kind of units or you can feel that its lacking of power.
There is always reason for that!

Fault codes are excellent tool to find the problem but do not trust too much on just the codes.
O2 sensor can be bad and still not giving Fault code.

But luckily O2 sensors are cheap parts and easy to change.

First

-Check engine valve clearance.
-Then Fuel Pressure test
-Battery voltage
- Charging system
- Live data if possible!

And if all good, replace O2 sensors!

There is always reason if something is not working, we just have to find it and fix it.

MOST COMMON CVT / CLUTCH KIT FAILURES OR QUESTIONS
and this go with all brands and with all clutch kits manufacturers!

Why belt is slipping
Or why belt snapped?
Why i get smell of rubber when driving?
Why Clutch kit made my unit slower than stock?

Most common problems are:

-Big tire kit with small tires. (Over clutching!) Example: you have 25"-27" tires but use mud clutch kit what are designed for 30" tires. When workin with Clutch Kit's, tires size has biggest role in CVT performance because CVT system are torque sensing system and tire size / weights changes rotating mass.

-Worn out clutch / clutch parts, sliders, weight holders, rollers, etc.

-dirty clutches and lack of maintenance!

-Assembly error

-Blocked CVT ventilation

-Snorkel kit with too small hoses and pipes or snorkel kit at road use.

-Bad ECU tune (more hp in dyno but stock torque limiters and actually less torque than stock tune at real use)

-Engine HP output have reduced

-Torque limiters are kicking in

-Bad fuel pump (engine HP output is reduced but it’s not giving Fault codes)

-Bad O2 sensors (engine AFR is wrong and HP output is reduced but still in software limits and not giving Fault codes)

-Blocked Catalysator (Engine HP output have been reduced)

-Brakes are dragging

-Wrong gear in wrong places (Using H gear when should be using L)

-Wrong type off CVT belt

All CVT systems have been designed to work with certain HP and Torque levels!
When manufacturers made clutch tunes, they designed
clutch for the power that engine is giving and designed clutch tune to work with that and then calculate 5-10% tolerance for that.

Now when adding clutch kit, we can change the

Primary Clutch:
-Engagement rpms
-Engagement feeling
-Upshifting
-Belt pressure
-Clutch throttle response
-WOT RPM'S (wide open throttle)
-Cruise RPM'S

Secondary Clutch:
-Torque Sensing
- Upshifting = clutch opening = shifting up = increasing speed.
-Belt pressure
- Downshifting / Backshift = clutch closing = shifting down = decreasing speed.
-Cruise RPM'S

But at same time, when adding clutch kit, it can reveal the problems that your engine is having!

Model specific Clutch kits are designed to work with stock engines or with 5-10HP power increase.
But if the engine is not making even the HP what manufacturer have given, then starts the problems.

Then the new Clutch Kit is trying to upshifting too rapid and that will make problems.
And usually that is blamed to be bad clutch kit, but the real problem is with engine power output.

We don't like to design clutch kits with big tolerances or for reduced power output.
Because if your engine is not making HP, it will have big problems in future.
Clutch kit is good indicator for engine that is everything ok!
When engine is working well, like from the factory ,or it has 5-10HP more, you will enjoy the Results.

But if you have problems, check these most common problems and let's fix your ride to perfection
