Listen without feeling threatened.

Ask questions without worrying about looking inexperienced.

Take criticism without turning it into an attack on your ego.

The smartest people aren't the ones with all the answers.

They're the ones humble enough to keep asking better questions.

Your age, success, or experience doesn't make you exempt from learning.

Stay curious.

Stay humble.

Stay hungry.

Because the world keeps changing, and so should you.

INTRODUCING THE FOREWORD 📖

Some books are written from a place of experience, but there are moments when God allows someone who has walked alongside your journey to speak into the pages.

It is a great honour to have Rev. Manasa Kolivuso write the Foreword to From Misfit to Miracle.

He is a spiritual father to many, and over the years, his wisdom, guidance and presence have reminded me of the importance of spiritual fathers, not only in discipleship, but in nurturing, restoring and believing in broken women who are not just in society, but sitting quietly in the pews of our churches.

I believe his words at the beginning of my memoir will help prepare the reader for the journey that follows.

September is about becoming more intentional. Less talking, more praying. Less explaining, more developing. Less distraction, more focus.

Sometimes God allows us to walk through deep waters—not to drown us, but to reveal just how deep His grace runs. 🌊🤍

I may not understand every season, but I’m learning to trust the One who walks through the waters with me.

Deep waters. Deeper faith. Greater grace. ✨

Sometimes your growth season becomes a revealing season.

When God begins to elevate you, increase your influence, or bring you into a new level of visibility, it doesn’t only reveal you, it can reveal the hearts of the people around you.

Some will genuinely celebrate you.
Some will become uncomfortable with your growth.
Some will support you only while you remain small.
Some will distance themselves because your becoming challenges their perception of who you used to be.

And that can hurt.

But revelation is not always rejection. Sometimes it is clarity.

Your spotlight season may show you who can clap for you without competing with you, who can celebrate your increase without feeling diminished, and who truly loves you rather than the version of you they could control.

Don’t shrink because someone is uncomfortable with your becoming.

Growth doesn’t make you arrogant.
Visibility doesn’t make you better than others.
And someone else’s inability to celebrate you doesn’t mean you have done something wrong.

Sometimes God allows the light to shine brighter, not just so others can see you, but so you can finally see clearly too.

Keep the faith and trust the process.

MAKE THESE FAITH-FILLED DECLARATIONS FROM YOUR HEART:

1. GOD CAN BE TRUSTED!

Don’t mind the mountains before you. Don’t mind the fears or uncertainties. Look your mountains in the face and declare boldly:

“I may not see the rain or the wind, but GOD CAN BE TRUSTED!”

2. THE WORD IS WORKING FOR ME!

In the name of Jesus, I decree and declare: The Word is working for me!

By the power of the Holy Ghost, the Word is working in my life, over my family, and concerning everything that God has spoken about me!

3. I WALK IN VICTORY AND DOMINION!

All through 2026, I walk in victory and dominion!

From September to October, from November to December; victory and dominion!

In the morning, at noon, in the evening, and at night, I walk in dominion!

In the country and in the city, I walk in dominion!

By the power of the Holy Ghost, I am victorious!

Maybe you don't even know how to explain what's wrong.

You're not completely sad.
You're not completely okay either.
You just know something inside you feels different.

There are wounds you can't put into words.
Pain you can't explain.
Losses you haven't fully processed.
And sometimes you don't even know what to pray.

But God understands what you cannot articulate.

He sees the places you've hidden from everyone.
He knows the pain behind your silence.
He knows why certain things still hurt.
And He knows exactly where the rebuilding needs to begin.

You don't need to have the perfect words before you come to Him.

You can simply say,
"Lord, I don't know what's wrong. But You do."

That's enough.

Because God doesn't need a detailed explanation to begin His work.

He knows how to rebuild a heart that has been quietly breaking.
He knows how to restore faith that has become tired.
He knows how to bring life back into places you thought were permanently damaged.

You may not understand your brokenness, but God does.

So bring Him the pieces you cannot explain.
Let Him work where you don't know how to begin.

And trust that the God who knows your heart better than you do also knows how to rebuild it.
