Samu Tawake ends Drua season on a high note.

The Fijian Drua vuvale gathered at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau last night for the 2026 McDonald's Fiji Drua Presentation Night, an occasion that brought together players, staff, sponsors, families and supporters to reflect on the 2026 season and recognise those who have made significant contributions to the Club.

Congratulations to Samu Tawake who received the Personal Development Award present by Zack (Mohammed Zakariyah) the Executive Director of FLiCK Hygiene in Fiji.

Presented in consultation with Pacific Rugby Players, the Flick Hygiene Personal Development Award recognises the player who has shown the greatest commitment to preparing for life beyond rugby.

Tawake demonstrated outstanding initiative and discipline in developing his Life After Rugby journey, balancing the demands of professional sport while successfully establishing business ventures alongside his wife.

His commitment to personal development and long-term planning made him a deserving recipient.

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Soqosoqo Vakamarama iTaukei Cakaudrove mourns the passing of our beloved Vice President, Adi Sereana Lalabalavu.

Adi Sereana was a woman of great humility, wisdom, and compassion. As a true chief's daughter, she carried herself with grace and dignity, yet remained approachable, kind-hearted, and deeply caring towards everyone she met. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering commitment to our women and communities will forever be remembered.

Throughout her service to Soqosoqo Vakamarama Cakaudrove, Adi Sereana provided invaluable guidance, leadership, and encouragement. She led not only with wisdom but with genuine love and respect for others. Her humble attitude and dedication inspired many women and strengthened our organization in countless ways.

Today, we remember her remarkable life, her selfless service, and the lasting impact she has left on us all. While words cannot fully express our sorrow, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the legacy she leaves behind.

The Soqosoqo Vakamarama Cakaudrove will surely miss her love, guidance, wisdom, and warm heart. Her presence will forever remain in our hearts and in the work we continue to do for our communities.
