Frank M. Hasel, PhD, is an associate director of the Biblical Research Institute of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He holds a PhD from Andrews University (Berrien Springs, MI, USA) on the role of Scripture in theology. He has written and edited several books, including Adventists and Military Service: Biblical, Historical, and Ethical Perspectives (2019), How to Interpret Scripture (2019), Living for God: Reclaiming the Joy of Christian Virtue (2020), Biblical Hermeneutics: An Adventist Approach (2020), and Love Is! A Journey of Grief, Grace, and Gratitude (2024), and has published in scholarly journals, dictionaries, and encyclopedias.
