VANUA O VUSU NAMATAKULA – CONDOLENCE STATEMENT

The Vanua o Vusu Namatakula joins the nation, the people of Namatakula, and the family and loved ones of the late Hon. Inosi Turaga Kuridrani in mourning the passing of a great son of our vanua.

Hon. Kuridrani was not only a respected public servant and leader, but also a proud son of Namatakula who dedicated himself to serving his people.

As a former Village Chairman and Chairman of the Fundraising and Working Committee of the Vanua, he played an important role in advancing various initiatives and community developments. His commitment, leadership and willingness to serve were evident through the many initiatives he championed for the benefit of our people.

Mr Kuridrani dedicated much of his life to serving our people and contributing to the development of our nation. His service to the Land Transport Authority, his time in public office, and his work in the transport, agriculture and sugar sectors speak of a man who gave much of himself to Fiji.

Beyond the positions he held, he was a son of Vusu, a son of Namatakula, and a leader whose contribution to the vanua will be remembered with gratitude and respect.

Vina valevu, Lavo, for your service, leadership and commitment to the Vanua o Vusu. Your legacy and the initiatives you helped establish will continue to speak of your dedication to our people.

Our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, and all those mourning his passing.

May the Almighty grant comfort and strength to the family during this difficult time.

Calling all NGOs working with communities on climate resilience!

Climate adaption grants under the Fiji Climate Adaptation Program are opening soon. Fiji and Australia are supporting community-led nature-based projects to reduce flood risk in the Nadi River Basin.

Grants may support activities such as:

• Restoring riverbanks with native vegetation
• Agroforestry to improve soils and crop resilience
