Consumer Council of Fiji .Today the team shared on concerns over suspected price manipulation of VAT reduction. Consumers are asked to call toll free line #155 or visit their office at Level 5,
Sukuna House or on fb page .For any complaints on price hikes in anything raging from Big Supermarkets ,small shops,restaurants or any eatery places to please contact the Council.

With the recent National Budget,consumers and public as a whole, should know some if the changes that was done in order to help with their daily budgets at home. Sharing some highlights below from Consumer Council of Fiji :
* Vat Reductions from August 1st therefore customers are advised to check their receipts while shopping.
* Fiscal Duty Reduction on some food items such as imported chicken portions and offal, frozen fish (including salmon),imported tomato sauce, castor sugar..
Also there's a joint task force between Consumer Council of Fiji, FCCC,FRCS and Ministry Of Finance so as to help monitor market prices,service providers,take enforcement action where necessary.
In addition, there are still scammers out there with AI deception and rise on Digital Scams.
