Ugandan Afro-fusion artist Aspirin UG is set to release his most heartfelt and impactful project yet, a 20-piece album titled Wano WAKA (This is home), featuring 13 original tracks, 5 exclusive live performances, and 2 bonus songs. More than just a musical project, this album is a cultural and spiritual offering rooted in the belief that music can unite people, heal hearts, and spark global change. Drawing from traditional Ugandan rhythms and modern world music influences, Aspirin UG invites listeners on a journey of remembrance, a return to peace, love, hope, and unity.
The project officially launches on July 18, 2025, with the release of an exclusive live performance of the track “Tusobola Okikola (We Can Make It)”. Performed with raw emotion and truth, this version sets the tone for everything to come. Sung in Luganda and English, the song is a powerful anthem of belief, resilience, and collective strength. With its powerful message “we can make Uganda great, and we can uplift the entire world together” it marks a bold beginning to an album that dares to dream of transformation.
From that date, a new song will be released every Friday, ending on September 12, 2025. Each weekly release will unveil a new chapter in this sonic journey, covering themes like healing, unity, inner power, community, and the return to our spiritual and cultural home.
What makes Wano WAKA even more unique is the inclusion of 5 live performance recordings, capturing the raw energy and unfiltered emotion behind Aspirin UG’s vision. These live moments give listeners not just sound, but presence a direct connection to the artist’s soul and the spirit of the music. The album closes with two bonus tracks, unexpected gifts that offer both reflection and renewal, tying the journey together in a meaningful way.
