The DSM magazine only exists due to its advertisers, without them it doesn't survive and the sole reason why you are able to recieve a free magazine each month. That said, some think it's OK to insert their own business card into the magazine at collection points. This action not only undermines the magazine but also insults all those advertisers who have done so in good faith. Anyone who receives a business card in their next magazine, these businesses are not endorsed by the DSM. I will be contacting them later (yes we know who you are) and if they continue to do so, I will be naming and shaming you on this very platform. www.thedsm.fr

For anyone in the local area that wants to support the fabulous firefighting teams tackling the challenging conditions in France, the request has moved to financial donations rather than goods as they have sufficient items for victims of the fires but still need financial help to cover costs. Here is a translation of the appeal from the local official offices:

🤝Fires in France: rallying to support affected local authorities
📣 The Town of Bressuire wishes to pass on the appeal for donations launched by the Association of French Mayors to enable the Civil Protection service to cover the costs incurred in meeting the needs of local authorities and those affected by the fires.
At this stage, there is a sufficient supply of donated goods, and any further donations could complicate sorting and logistics operations.

There had still been no sighting of Stephanie and the family are still searching for any information on her whereabouts. If anyone was in the area around the time of her disappearance or can remember what maybe even the smallest of details, please let them know as it could be a clue which could help bring the family some answers.

RISQUE VIOLET 4/4 : Une canicule exceptionnelle confirmée pour les Deux-Sèvres entre ce dimanche et jeudi prochain...

Compte tenu de la fiabilité de la prévision ainsi que des conséquences attendues pendant et après cet épisode, un risque violet est justifié.

Demain samedi, le thermomètre gagne quelques degrés avec des maximales de 35 à 36°C. Mais dès dimanche, les 40 degrés pourront être atteint sur la zone en risque violet, et on attend plus généralement 37 à 38°C ailleurs.

Les nuits seront tropicales, avec des températures minimales situées autour de 24°C, voire jusqu'à 26°C.

Entre lundi et mercredi, le pic de la canicule est attendu avec une augmentation des températures maximales. Elles vont souvent dépasser 40°C, et atteindre parfois jusqu'à 42°C, pulvérisant à nouveau les records pour un mois de juin et mettant en danger le record historique de 41°C établit à Niort le 18/07/2022.

A partir de jeudi, une baisse est attendue mais le thermomètre pourrait afficher des températures proches de 40°C.

Ce n'est qu'en fin de semaine qu'un bon répit est possible avec certainement l'arrivée d'orages et une baisse des températures associée...
