Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ of Bordeaux 2025
In a field of 39 combinations, 11 riders made it through to the jump off in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ of Bordeaux. Willem Greve and Grandorado TN NOP — a 14 year old stallion owned by Team Nijhof Vof and Willem Greve Sportpaarden — first to ride back in front of a full house set the bar by performing to a clear round stopping the clock at 39.74. The third combination to come back to the Bordeaux International Arena was Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs riding Conner Jei. With the 14 year old bay gelding by Connor, owned by Adolfo Juri and bred by Gerhard Stammer, Fuchs risked it all keeping the public clinging onto their seats claiming the leaderboard 37.45 time. “We secured our spot in Basel when you go early you never know its enough, put the pressure on the competitors. But when you have Epaillard still to go you never know! This is my first time in Bordeaux and I’m thrilled and proud of my horse; he was fantastic.”

Jumping International Bordeaux The first 5-star class of this 2024 edition and already a French victory in the Prix BEAM, that of Julien Gonin and Valou du Lys, his 15-year-old strong charactered mare: “The only way to work Valou is to push her forward. She’s got a lot of experience now and if I don’t ride her fast, I won’t get the best out of her.” While most of the riders in this class were preparing their horses for tomorrow’s World Cup stage and/or Sunday’s Grand Prix, Julien Gonin was riding to win, and with a three-second lead over his pursuer, Norway’s Therese Soehol Henriksen, he easily accomplished his mission.

The third and last week of Spring MET I 2024 concluded on Sunday with a German one-two in the CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix presented by CHG - Construcciones Hispano Germanas S.A., with Philipp Weishaupt and Coby 8 (Contagio x Escudo 19, bred by Jürgen Geffken) taking the win ahead of his fellow countryman Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and Messi van’T Ruytershof (Plot Blue x For Pleasure, bred by Stal van’T Ruytershof) in second.

Only five horse-and-rider-combinations out of the 50 at start cleared the first-round track set by the French course designer Gregory Bodo and joined the deciding jump-off where Weishaupt and Coby were the fastest, stopping the clock on 35.94 seconds.
