My Own Cubic Stone project was born in 2009 somewhere in Burgundy.
The name of the project is a direct reference to the myth of Sisyphus, as it is true that living is climbing your own cubic stone on top of a pyramid of events. The story begins on an old Mac and Garageband and continues and grows ever since (synth, theremin, field recording, building up one’s own sound bank, construction of a noise box in progress etc. )

Portés par des percussions électroniques à la sobriété exquise, les morceaux de "Jungle Mood" sont touffus, patiemment élaborés autour de deux guitares, d’une basse, d’un piano et de synthétiseurs. Car, fait rare dans l’ambient, c’est bien à un véritable groupe que nous avons affaire ici, j'ai nommé Home Riot Bend Sound Club, défendu par l'excellent label Kalamine Records.

Jungle mood by 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗼𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 on 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 !

Home Riot Bend Sound Club is a group of musician friends, including vssp, based in southwestern France, who are passionate about improvisation and sound experimentation.
Their first collection of improvisations navigates the crossroads of electronica and experimental ambient with elements of progressive rock, while the rhythms of modular drum machines and ethereal synths set the pace for these experimental and ephemeral recordings, taking us on a journey from one reverie to another.
