French electronic musician and visual artist ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐ท๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 82 in La Rochelle, France.
I met him in Bordeaux at Les Vivres de l'Art, a concert organized by the 6click Culture association.
We stayed in touch, and he proposed an album for KR (at 80 years old !), as well as another piano-based album that hasn't been released yet.

He first made his name as a lighting and visual effects designer and worked for artists such Pierre Henry, The Who, Gong or Magma.
Szajner invented a laser harp (or 'Syeringe'), used later by Jean-Michel Jarre and his concerts in China.
The first Szajner album, Visions of Dune, was released in 1979
(Inspired by Frank Herbert's novel Dune).
Tha last one, probably, was released in 2024 on Kalamine Records.
