⚙️ ARCTICA – Reveal #10: ARCTICA's Gameplay – The Art of Balancing 🦑

Lots of announcements in our latest update, but let's start with a look behind the scenes at one important aspect of ARCTICA's gameplay: card balancing!
The Collector's Edition of ARCTICA will feature 160 unique Fauna cards, each with different iconography and effects. Balancing THAT many cards is quite a challenge! It has taken us over a year of complex spreadsheets, playtesting, tweaking, re-testing... and doing it all over again. 😅 Discover more about the work that goes into balancing ARCTICA's cards in our latest update! 🤟

We're also sharing some highlights from our time at Gen Con in Indianapolis, along with the location of our booth for our next convention: SPIEL Essen – Hall 3, Booth 3J300!

⚙️ ARCTICA – Reveal #9: The Rulebook of ARCTICA 🦉

Writing a board game rulebook can be a real challenge. It needs to give every new player a clear understanding of the game and all of its mechanics, without leaving room for confusion or different interpretations. Because our team has been deeply involved in ARCTICA from the very beginning, we know the game inside and out. But that also means we may sometimes overlook a missing detail or an explanation that could be clearer to someone discovering the game for the first time...That’s where you come in!

We’d love for our followers to take a close look at the rulebook and share their feedback. Does everything make perfect sense? Are there any sections that feel unclear or raise additional questions? To help us review the rules and discover how ARCTICA plays along the way, head over to the Gamefound page for all the details 🙏

⚙️ ARCTICA – Reveal #7: ARCTICA's gameplay - Fauna & Generation cards
In our previous reveal, we introduced ARCTICA's 160 unique Fauna cards, brought to life through the stunning artwork of Christine Aubertin. Because these cards play such an important role in the game, and because the illustrations are worth seeing, they will be produced in Tarot format (70 × 110 mm).

In this new update, we're taking a deeper dive into the Fauna and Generation cards, which are at the very heart of ARCTICA. Discover how to read them, how they interact with your player board, and how their abilities help shape your strategy throughout the game.

🚢 A huge milestone happened since our last update: games were put in large container vessels on the sea, and they are on their way to fulfillment hubs — and we just can’t wait until they are eventually in your hands.
After months of production work, localization, approvals, revisions, and delays, it’s really a pleasure to write the games are on their way 🚀

Based on the current schedule, our fulfillment team at Naylor Games is telling us that fulfillment is still expected in August once the containers arrive at their destinations, clear customs, and are processed by our fulfillment partners 🗓️
