Thrilled to see Kirsten McHugh’s beautiful story in Culturs Magazine about conquering the Camino de Santiago with her beloved husband Jack, before cancer took its toll. Kirsten’s debut memoir, Sinners, Seekers & Me is a story of life, love and loss and how sometimes we can busy ourselves with being busy, taking what we have for granted. An 800 km pilgrimage across Northern Spain was more than a walk; it was their way of reconnecting away from the frenetic activity of life.
Kirsten’s book is out now with Broadcast Books.

The world sees a futbol story.

We see a unique cultural identity story. 🌍

In 2007, Lionel Messi posed for a UNICEF charity calendar with a six-month-old baby.

Today, that baby is Lamine Yamal—one of the world’s brightest football stars—and he’s preparing to face Messi on the biggest stage in the sport.

But here’s what makes his story even more powerful.

⚽ Born in Spain.
🇲🇦 Moroccan father.
🇬🇶 Equatorial Guinean mother.
🏙️ Raised in Rocafonda among a sea of cultures.

Like so many culturally fluid people, Lamine carries multiple cultures with him—not as a contradiction, but as a strength.

Your identity isn’t something you have to simplify.

It’s something you can build from.

For a long time, I acted like the greatest investment I could make was in my business.

A better strategy.
More partnerships.
More networking.
More opportunities.

Lately, I’ve realized I had it backwards.

The greatest investment I’ll ever make is in me.

That’s what this past month has really been about.

Before Cannes Lions, I committed to a 21-day reser—not because I wanted to look better, but because I wanted to show up with clarity, discipline and intention.

I slowed down enough to think.

I became more intentional about my health, my energy and the conversations I chose to have.

Instead of trying to meet everyone, I focused on building a handful of meaningful relationships.

Instead of saying yes to everything, I made room for what mattered most.

Ironically, that’s when the biggest opportunities started showing up.

The more I invest in becoming healthier, stronger, calmer, more present and more aligned, the better I lead, create, build relationships and serve others.

I’ve realized that my greatest competitive advantage is in becoming the strongest version of myself.

From now on, investing in myself isn’t something I’ll do when I have time.

It IS the strategy.

Because when you become the healthiest, happiest, most healed, most present and most confident version of yourself, you don’t just discover the right path.

You become the person capable of creating it.

I’m still very much on this journey, but I have a feeling it will be one of the best investments I’ll ever make.

What investment in yourself has produced the biggest return in your life?

Today I get to share something I have been working toward for years.
Culturs TV, Season One is coming to Tubi.
The distribution deal came to us. Can I tell you how excited we are? It’s something I envisioned from the start, but we were not actively seeking. And I’m extremely proud of what we’ve built.
An internally-funded, print-first, woman-of-color-led media company built a tv show for the almost one billion people living between or among worlds — and one of the largest free streaming platforms in the country is one of quite a few who expressed interest.
For the operators, partners, journalists, and executives who have followed this build: thank you. What we have been constructing quietly — without venture capital, without advertising compromises, without softening the vision — is now going to a platform that reaches over 97 million monthly active users.
The audience the world said did not exist? They were always there.
Tubi details coming soon. We launch Friday.
You are not between worlds. You are the bridge.
