6Tone is not just a name, it’s a concept. The idea being to record and produce unsigned bands and release just 6 tracks, like an EP. Not only is it much quicker for the bands to come up with 6 songs but furthermore they are all potential hits - less is more In today’s digital age streaming seems to be the norm but we love the hard copies too. Once the label was founded we needed to find bands and the first signing was the Badass Mother Fuzzers, who wanted to release 11 tracks (yes, but the concept is just 6 tracks, we know!). We couldn’t refuse such an honour and we are very pleased to have launched the 6Tone label with them (and their 11 songs …). We would like 6Tone to be synonymous with imaginative and musically diverse music, helping bands we believe in and hoping you will love them as much as we do!
