The frames in Chamonix seemed to write themselves.

Mont Blanc in the crisp April sunlight. Fresh powder. Blue skies and white clouds playing a game of light and shadow with the skiers carving through the snow. A live music festival with a view no stage designer on earth could compete with. Scenes straight out of a Wes Anderson set. Cobblestones. Churches. Vin chaud.

I came in search of mountains, and discovered the meaning of Alpine charm. Trail runners, riders, wanderers, and party people — there’s a version of Chamonix for all the versions of you. It is one of those rare places that is both a rush and a reset.

The world doesn’t follow you here.

And you know it, just getting there — hours in the air, a long wait, a speedboat ride across the open ocean, and then — finally — a strip of land. By the time you arrive, everything is quieter. Softer. Bluer.

What you do with that space is entirely yours. Luxury romance, adventure, stillness, simple island life… it’s a build-your-own kind of escape.

But beyond all of these words, there’s that feeling of just being in the . That’s what these snapshots hold.

They say what you seek is seeking you. Me, I sought the ocean.
