"Philippe Petit's "Phase One" is released as a 12" single on Knotweed (KW063) and features four compact tracks tailored specifically for DJ sets. The release boasts clear, focused arrangements and a minimalist design; the format emphasizes its immediate suitability for club use, and a colorful cover accompanies the pressing.

Musically, "Phase One" operates within the realm of dark, rhythmically driven techno, typical of the label's releases. Philippe Petit's signature style is evident in his keen sense of tension, achieved through subtle filter sweeps, precise basslines, and sparse pad textures, allowing the tracks to resonate both in club settings and upon more analytical listening.
