NicolĂČ Bulega resmi meninggalkan Aruba.it Racing – Ducati setelah musim WorldSBK 2026.

Nicolo Bulega has explained why he chose the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team for his MotoGP debut in 2027.

The Italian has a long history with the VR46 family, having been part of the VR46 Riders Academy and making his World Championship debut with the team in Moto3 in 2016. That familiarity played an important role in his decision.

Bulega also believes the timing of his move could help his adaptation. With MotoGP introducing new 850cc bikes and Pirelli tyres in 2027, every rider and manufacturer will face a fresh challenge.

His experience with Pirelli in WorldSBK, along with his work as a Ducati test rider on the new Desmosedici GP, could give him an advantage as he steps into the premier class.

“I’m happy to reach this goal, even if it took me a little longer and I did a different journey compared to the usual one,” Bulega said.

For his MotoGP debut, Bulega says he wants to take things one race at a time and simply do the best job possible.

Nicolo Bulega and Aruba.it Racing – Ducati will officially part ways at the end of the 2026 WorldSBK season. Shortly after, VR46 officially confirmed Bulega as their MotoGP rider for the 2027 season.

Bulega will leave the Aruba.it Ducati WorldSBK team after an impressive spell with the Italian squad. The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the strongest riders in WorldSBK and is currently on course to fight for the 2026 title.

For 2027, Bulega will return to Valentino Rossi’s VR46 operation, where he began his World Championship career as a Moto3 rider in 2016.

The Italian rider has already made his MotoGP debut, replacing the injured Marc Marquez in the final rounds of last season. He has also been involved in Ducati’s development of its new 850cc prototype ahead of the Pirelli era.

Bulega’s move completes Ducati’s 2027 MotoGP rider line-up. He will be the only Italian rider in Ducati’s premier-class line-up.

His move to MotoGP will also trigger a seat swap with Franco Morbidelli. The current VR46 rider is set to join Aruba.it Ducati in WorldSBK for the 2027 season.

After several years in WorldSBK, Bulega will now begin a new chapter with VR46 Ducati as MotoGP enters the new 850cc and Pirelli era.

Jorge Martin says maintaining his MotoGP championship lead is not his priority as the title battle heads to Misano this weekend.

The Aprilia rider arrives at his former winning venue with a 19-point advantage over reigning world champion Marc Marquez and a 24-point lead over his Aprilia teammate Marco Bezzecchi.

Martin’s consistency has kept him at the top of the championship standings since Assen. However, after Marc Marquez closed the gap significantly at Aragon, the fight for the 2026 title has become increasingly tight.

Martin finished fifth in both the Sprint and the Grand Prix at Aragon, while Marquez completed a perfect weekend and took all 37 available points. As a result, Martin’s championship advantage was reduced by 21 points.

Despite the growing pressure, Martin insists that simply remaining at the top of the standings is not what he is focusing on.

“Leading the standings is important for the entire Aprilia team, but we’ve already seen that, given the close gaps, it is neither a priority nor a determining factor,” Martin said.

Instead, the Spaniard wants to concentrate on his performance and the work of his Aprilia team as they head into the Italian manufacturer’s home race.

“The Misano GP is always special when you are on an Italian team and, along with Aprilia and the fans, I’m sure it will be a great weekend,” Martin said.

“We are heading to a track that I like after doing a good job in Aragón, and we have clear objectives.”

Martin is also a former Misano winner, having taken victory at the circuit in 2023. With all three leading riders mathematically capable of leaving Misano at the top of the championship, the pressure will be high.

But for Martin, the message is clear: rather than obsessing over the championship lead, his priority is to keep working, perform at his best and maximize every opportunity with the RS-GP26.

“I can’t wait to get on the RS-GP26 and do my best at Aprilia’s home race.”

VR46 has officially confirmed that Franco Morbidelli will leave the team at the end of the 2026 season, bringing an important chapter of their journey to a close.

Morbidelli holds a special place in VR46 history. He was the first official member of the VR46 Riders Academy, its first World Champion, and its first MotoGP race winner.

After joining VR46 Ducati in 2025, Franky scored three podiums during his first season with the team. Now, after the 2026 season, he will move to Aruba.it Ducati in WorldSBK.

Meanwhile, Nicolo Bulega will make the opposite move, stepping up from WorldSBK to MotoGP with VR46 Ducati for 2027.

A chapter ends, while another begins.
Grazie, Franky.

Jack Miller will leave MotoGP at the end of the 2026 season and join Yamaha’s factory World Superbike team for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

The move was officially confirmed after Miller was recently announced to be losing his Pramac MotoGP seat to rookie Izan Guevara. The Australian will join Pata Yamaha, replacing Xavi Vierge.

Miller is excited about continuing his partnership with Yamaha and beginning a new chapter in his career with the R1.

“I am really excited to announce that I’m heading over to WorldSBK together with Yamaha, extending our partnership together,” Miller said.

“I have really enjoyed working with the brand these past few years in MotoGP and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to see what we can do on the R1.”

The 31-year-old already has some experience with Yamaha’s R1 after competing for the factory team in the Suzuka 8 Hours over the past two seasons, finishing runner-up on both occasions.

“I have had a small taste of the bike at Suzuka the last couple of years, and while the WorldSBK-spec bike is a bit different I am really looking forward to this next chapter in my career and hopefully we can do something really strong over there,” Miller added.

Miller began his MotoGP career in 2015 after finishing runner-up to Alex Marquez in Moto3. He went directly from Moto3 to the premier class and went on to claim four MotoGP victories: one with Marc VDS Honda and three with the factory Ducati team.

He later achieved his 23rd MotoGP podium with KTM.

Miller is currently 17th in the 2026 MotoGP championship aboard Yamaha’s new V4 machine. His best result this season is eighth, although he has been Yamaha’s leading rider in the last two rounds at Silverstone and Aragon.

Despite spending his entire World Championship career in the Grand Prix paddock, Miller does have previous Superbike racing experience. He competed in end-of-season Australian championship events with Ducati in 2021 and 2022.

His performances with Yamaha at the Suzuka 8 Hours have also played an important role in securing his WorldSBK opportunity.

Miller is expected to combine his WorldSBK programme with another Suzuka 8 Hours appearance next season and could also take part in MotoGP testing.

After more than a decade in Grand Prix racing, Miller is now preparing for a new challenge with Yamaha in WorldSBK.
