🇨🇭 Aja-Monet is a Surrealist Blues Poet, vocalist, and bandleader. Festival Les Créatives & La Blogothèque took her & her band to a cosy studio in the heart of Geneva where they delivered a special performance of a new poem called 'hollyweird'. Shared ahead of its official release on drink sum wtr (due 2026), 'hollyweird' is a lyrical evocation of the fires that dazed the city of Los Angeles this past year. Her energy and prose are so infectious that you may find yourself unable to take your eyes off the screen for those five short minutes. So, get inspired, take a deep breath and press play.

A Take Away Show in the clouds, or almost 🤍

Festival Les Créatives & La Blogothèque took Lael Neale to a breathtaking panorama of the city of Geneva where she delivered a special performance of her song 'Blue Vein': bit.ly/LaelNeale_ATakeAwayShow

It had snowed the night before we arrived. Everything was white as far as the eye could see. Lael arrived wearing a beautiful red coat and thin loafers on which a few snowflakes had landed. It was freezing cold, and yet she delivered an outstanding performance. It seemed that this song she played had been composed for this precise moment in this white landscape, surrounded by machinery, cables and concrete. Lael wrote 'Blue Vein' around New Year’s Eve and stated that it felt like a resolution. ‘The truth sings to whoever listens’ as she puts it. Well, lend your ear and this performance will leave you utterly peaceful.

Le Festival Les Créatives & La Blogo ont emmené Lael Neale vers un panorama à couper le souffle sur la ville de Genève, où elle nous a donné une interprétation exceptionnelle de son morceau ‘Blue Vein’.

Il avait neigé la nuit précédant notre arrivée. Tout n'était que blanc à perte de vue. Lael est arrivée vêtue d'un magnifique manteau rouge et de fins mocassins sur lesquels quelques flocons de neige avaient atterri. Il faisait un froid glacial, mais elle nous a néanmoins offert une performance exceptionnelle. On aurait dit que cette chanson avait été composée spécialement pour cet instant précis, dans ce paysage blanc, entouré de machineries, de câbles et de béton. Lael a écrit Blue Vein à l’approche du réveillon du Nouvel An et pour elle cette chanson s’apparente à une résolution. « La vérité chante pour ceux qui l'écoutent », comme elle le dit elle-même. Eh bien, prêtez l'oreille et cette performance vous laissera une impression de paix absolue.

This summer, we filmed Iggy Pop's concert at the Spandau Citadel in Berlin for ARTE Concert.

Filming a legend is one thing, but filming his return to a city that changed his career was another. It was here in the German capital in the late 1970s that Iggy began his post-Stooges artistic rebirth alongside David Bowie. Fifty years later, he's back, setting the stage alight at the Spandau Citadel, giving a concert bursting with freedom, surrounded by a new band that reinvents his classics. We had already crossed paths with the Iguana in 2019 when we filmed him in the cosy setting of the historic foyer at La Gaité Lyrique for the ARTE Concert Festival. A true beast of a performer, he continues to embody the raw essence of rock today, at over 70 years of age.
