Tracee Ellis Ross has never married and doesn’t have children but she has made it clear that neither fact determines her worth or the value of her life.

As she once said, “I do not believe that my life is unworthy because I don’t have children.” She has also spoken openly about not having a partner and refusing to measure her life by that standard.

That doesn’t mean she never imagined marriage or motherhood. Ross has acknowledged grieving the life she once thought she would have. But she has also made it clear that she would rather be single than choose the wrong partner simply to avoid being alone.
And look at the life she has built.

The daughter of Diana Ross graduated from Brown University, starred in black-ish for eight seasons, earned five Emmy nominations, and founded her own haircare company, Pattern Beauty.

At this point 53, Tracee Ellis Ross isn’t waiting for a husband or children to make her life complete.
