The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State has rep0rtedly disqualified governorship aspirant Adebayo Adelabu from participating in the party’s governorship race ahead of the next election cycle.

According to party sources, Adelabu was screened out over issues linked to the party’s internal selection process, sparking reactions among supporters and political observers across the state. The development is expected to intensify political discussions within the APC as other aspirants continue consultations and campaigns.

Adelabu, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and former governorship candidate, is yet to officially react to the reported disqualification. Meanwhile, some of his supporters have expressed disappointment, insisting that the decision could affect party unity in Oyo State.

Party officials, however, maintained that the screening exercise was conducted according to established guidelines and in the interest of fairness and transparency.

Some text messages allegedly exchanged between singer Chike and Frank Edoho between 2003 and 2024 have surfaced.

In the messages, Chike reportedly admits wr0ngdoing in relation to his involvement with Mrs. Edoho.

It is further alleged that the relationship between Chike and Mrs. Edoho continued even after this exchange.

Just in: The Anambra State Government has introduced a new law regulating bur!al and funeral ceremonies in the state, banning midweek burials and restricting the presentation of expensive cond0lence gifts such as cows and goats.

Under the legislation, “No person shall give to the dec€ased person’s family, as a c0nd0lence gift, any item exceeding money, one jar of palm wine, one carton of beer and one crate of soft drinks.

“All burial and fun€ral ceremonies are now r€stricted to Saturdays only. Midweek (Monday to Friday) burials are prohibited. All bur!al ceremonies must be completed within one day.”

The bur!al law also contains far-reaching provisions aimed at reducing ostentatious funeral ceremonies across the state, stating that off€nders are liable to a fine of ₦100,000, or six months’ impris0nment, or both.

‘Ever since my s0n, Destiny boy p@ssed awây, I have not been myself. Nob0dy checked on me again after the buřial. It’s only two of his friends that send me m0ney monthly for upkeep. Those are the ones that call and visit me every time. Everything is still like a dream to me. I am living in the house that he built for me which is also the place he was buri£d.
