The Story Unfolds | Code Eternity – The Beginning. Every story has a beginning. Ours began with a sound. Deep, luminous, aetherial.

At the time, the label was called Infinium Records, a name that would soon evolve into Ultimae Records.

ASURA was then a trio composed of Charles Farewell, Christopher Maze and Vincent Villuis, who would later leave the band to found AES Dana and co-create H.U.V.A. Network with Solar Fields .

Code Eternity became our foundation, a collection of soundscapes where dreams and memories converge. Each track carried the promise of something greater: a space for introspection, a journey through emotion, a vision beyond borders. A journalist once described it as: « Ambient with a real kick. » . We couldn’t have said it better.

We didn’t yet know how far this music would take us, how it would resonate across time, geographies and people. But we felt it in our bones: this was the start of something…
Code Eternity is still with us.

We're honoured to see Leylines, the fourth ambient downtempo album by Vincent Villuis aka AES Dana, featured in the latest review by Igloo Magazine .

Originally released in 2009, Leylines quickly became a pivotal work in Villuis’s career. What few people knew at the time is that the album was composed in its entirety twice: after a catastrophic disk crash destroyed the original version and one year of work, Villuis entered a period of deep introspection before starting over. This shock led not only to emotional reckoning but also to a complete reinvention of his creative process.

Leylines became the foundation for a new compositional language, one built on a fresh sonic palette, renewed patterns, and a more sculptural approach to sound. The final result was more distilled, more intentional, and marked a turning point in his musical trajectory. Upon release, the album reached #1 on the iTunes USA Electronic Music charts, establishing itself as a landmark within the genre.

Inspired by the concept of “leylines”, invisible energy paths believed to link sacred and geomagnetic sites, the album explores the subtle connections between musical genres, emotional states, and the living world.

Sculpted from field recordings, analog synthesis, and digitally processed textures, Leylines is a deeply immersive and granular journey. This reedited and remastered edition brings greater spatial clarity and depth, revealing new layers of nuance and sonic interplay.

The migration of the Ultimae catalog is well underway. We've now submitted nearly all of our releases to Virgin Music Group, our new digital distributor handling delivery to all streaming and download platforms worldwide.

It may take a few more days, depending on each platform and region, for everything to show up properly. Let’s say things should be back in place by early next week.

Ultimae releases temporarily offline | Migration in process…

We wanted to let you know that we are currently migrating the entire catalogue to our new digital distribution partner: Virgin Music Group.
The switch was planned for a later date, but we noticed this weekend that Empire, the previous distributor, pressed the delete button a bit too early…

As with any big change, there are a few bumps along the road, so you will notice that most albums, EPs and compilations are temporarily unavailable on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, or others. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to speed up the process and hope to have all productions back online by the end of the week.

OPIA vinyls have arrived! We’re happy to share that the OPIA vinyls have arrived from the factory, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. The artwork is exactly as we envisioned, and after a dedicated listening session of both the black and colored editions, we can confidently say the sound is crystal clear.

A heartfelt thank you to Christian Samsara for his unwavering commitment to this project, to all the artists involved, and to you, our listeners, for your continued support and for sharing in the emotions our music brings.
