One year has passed since we first went looking for Acid Eric.
We thought we had found him.
We were wrong.
Some say he disappeared somewhere between a broken 303, a foggy dancefloor and a service station at 6am. Others say he was never real in the first place. Either way, the hunt is far from over.
One year after the original release, An Avrin, Jaia and Vel join the search with three new interpretations of the mystery.
Three new suspects.
Three new interpretations.
Still no Eric.
The hunt continues.
🎨 Artworks : Léo Marsal , as usual 🤍
London-based producer An Avrin, known for his twisted, bass-heavy productions on Scuffed Recordings, delivers a remix somewhere between dubstep and hard drum, while perfectly preserving the trance spirit of the original. A strange combination of UK bass pressure and psychedelic energy — a recipe that only he seems to know.
One of the most respected producers to emerge from the French underground trance scene of the 90s, Jaia has spent three decades travelling between Goa trance, progressive, ambient, house and techno. After delivering official remixes for Giorgio Moroder and Mylène Farmer, he does us the honour of joining the hunt with his own interpretation of Acid Eric.
And finally, Vel, the new queen of French mental trance-techno, takes us deep into hypnosis. Her remix unfolds through layers of textures, trancey atmospheres and powerful percussion, slowly dragging the listener into a deep, swirling vortex.
