We came to Alicante thinking it would just be a nice trip by the sea. But pretty quickly, we started noticing things that honestly surprised us.

The energy felt different. The pace felt different. The weather, the cost, the beaches, the everyday life… it all made us understand why so many people look at Spain when they’re dreaming about Europe.

We’re not here to tell you France is better or Spain is better. But if you’re trying to figure out where you actually fit, Alicante is definitely a place worth paying attention to.

One year ago this picture never would have existed.

A boy, a dog and a Sunday walk down a cobblestone sidewalk in France.

A year ago this was just a dream, a lot of planning and more than a little uncertainty. Today watching our youngest walk our dog through these streets are simply a part of life.

Funny how the things that once felt impossible eventually become normal.

Same family. Bigger story.

We've been sharing our expat life for a while now. The relocation chaos, the wins, and all the amazing moments we've had that have made the journey worth it.

But people keep asking us the same things. How did you do it? Where do we start? Is it actually possible for us? Can you help us?

And we realized OUR story was only half of it. So we're evolving.
