Andrei Halabarodzka to make FIA European Baja Cup debut in the Stock category

Dakar competitor Andrei Halabarodzka, who competed in the 2021 and 2024 Dakar Rally in the Ultimate category with a Toyota Hilux, will make his FIA European Baja Cup debut in the Stock category together with navigator Alexey Ignatov. The crew will start their campaign at Baja Aragón in Spain.

Andrei Halabarodzka:

"We will compete in the Baja Aragon with a Toyota Land Cruiser in the Stock (T2) category, provided by Bartek Waizer, last year's European Baja Cup champion. Our own Toyota Hilux is currently undergoing a rebuild, and I hope it will be ready as a much more competitive car for Dakar 2027.

For me, this is an opportunity to get familiar with the roads in Spain and Portugal, gain experience and better understand these events. A Stock car is very different from a T1, and especially from a T1+. It is heavier, less agile and not as fast. But that's exactly why this experience is important as we prepare for a possible European or World Baja Cup programme next year.

I have a very experienced navigator, Alexey Ignatov. He is both a driver and a navigator, as well as an excellent mechanic. Last year he won the FIA World Baja Cup in the Challenger category, and this year he competed in the Dakar Rally. I believe we'll make a strong team.

We used to be rivals, Alexey raced for GAZ Raid Sport, while I competed in a Hilux. Now we'll be racing together in the same car for the first time. I hope everyone will support us."

The Dacia Sandriders bid farewell to Cristina Gutiérrez

Following yesterday's announcement of Cristina Gutiérrez's move to Santana Racing Team, The Dacia Sandriders have shared a farewell message thanking the Spanish driver for her contribution over the past two seasons.

Cristina Gutiérrez joins Santana Racing Team

Santana Racing Team officially presented Cristina Gutiérrez as its new factory driver during the opening of Santana Pamplona, the first dealership of the revived Santana brand. Together with co-driver Marc Solà, she will make her competitive debut with the team at Baja España Aragón (11–13 September) before continuing to Rallye du Maroc (26 September–3 October) as part of the team's preparation for Dakar Rally 2027.

‼️AFRICA ECO RACE 2027: first entry fee period closes on 15 September‼️

Competitors planning their 2027 rally-raid programme still have the opportunity to enter Africa Eco Race at the current entry fee.

The entry includes return sea transport of the race vehicle between Europe and Africa, ferry crossings, bivouac infrastructure and catering, Mauritanian visa and border formalities, vehicle insurance for Mauritania and Senegal, medical assistance and repatriation, race tracking and safety systems, while race fuel is included for Bikes and SSVs in Race.

The 2027 edition will take competitors from Morocco through Mauritania to Dakar, covering two weeks of rally-raid competition with dunes, navigation and long selective sections.
