1️⃣: Consistency
I have been learning filmmaking for over 6 years now, still learning and practicing every day. To master your skills as a filmmaker, you need to produce work consistently. Learn, try, and repeat.
2️⃣: Connections
In the journey of filmmaking, I have got to meet a lot of creatives and people from different industries. You have to be connected to different people and show your work to the world. Try collaborating with different people and brands, this is going to help you.
3️⃣: Start small, you have to run slow to run fast
Start with smaller jobs, build your portfolio, and sharpen your skills. Big brands will see your work, it just takes time. I start with making videos for LOCAL SHOPS too! And I learned a lot from those experiences.
4️⃣: Find your style
Don’t make videos that you hate, it drains your creativity. You have to figure out what kind of style is your favorite and make sure people see that. A majority of my clients come to me because they love my style of work, not because they want another boring video.
