SUPERCOZI new album ‘ Bass Odyssey ‘ guest artist G-ton on ‘ No Spectator ‘

(日本語は下) G-ton is a Japanese MC / Rapper based in Nagoya Japan. He had been widely loved and respected in Japan since his 2004 million sales hit single in Japan ' Kokoro Odoru ', a pop song he released as a member of his old band Nobodyknows.

Despite of band's popularity and successes, G-ton left band in 2007 April for artistic differences.

G-Ton has admired Supercozi’s sonic universe ever since picking up her 2005 release ' Luxury Addict ' CD that she dropped from her own label Hypo Espresso Records.

When she returned to her native Japan in 2024 for a DJ tour after 6 year break, the two artists finally crossed paths. For their debut collaboration, G-Ton penned lyrics inspired by his unforgettable experience at Burning Man 2016 in Nevada, USA.

Having received G-Ton's vocal stems he recorded in Nagoya, Japan, Cozi undertook the unprecedented experiment of fusing Japanese rap and Psydub in her home studio in Nice in the south of France, and successfully sublimated it into a powerful track with a majestic groove.

G-tonは名古屋を拠点とする日本のMC／ラッパー。2004年に旧バンド・ノーバディノウズのメンバーとして発表したポップソング『ココロオドル』が日本でミリオンセールスを記録して以来、国内で広く愛され尊敬されてきた。

だがバンドの人気と成功にもかかわらず、G-tonは芸術的意見の相違から2007年4月にバンドを脱退。

G-Tonは、Supercoziが自身のレーベルハイポ＝エスプレッソ・レコードからリリースした2005年のアルバム『Luxury Addict』CDを手にして以来、彼女の音の世界観に感銘を受けてきたという。

2024年、6年ぶりのDJツアーでSupercoziが母国・日本に戻った際、名古屋で彼女が参加したDJイベントでついに二人のアーティストは初めて出会う。その結果として産まれたこの初のコラボレーションのために、G-Tonはアメリカ・ネバダ州で開催されたバーニングマン2016での忘れられない体験からインスピレーションを得て歌詞を書き上げた。

名古屋で録音されたG-Tonのボーカル素材音源を受け取ったコージーは、南仏ニースの自宅スタジオで日本ラップとサイダブを融合させる前例のない実験に着手。堂々たるグルーヴを帯びた力強いトラックへと昇華させることに成功した。

AndreasOne on ‘ DI.VE ‘ ‘ Odyssey ‘

AndreasOne is an American MC known for Dub & Raga roots vocal style. His voice embracing sun drenched vibes on ‘ D.I.V.E ‘ , opening tune of Japanese artist SUPERCOZI new album ‘ Bass Odyssey ’ .

Two met in Bali around 2011 and immediately became a good friends . Then Cozi constructed track’s original version for her downtempo DJ set in Eclipse Festival 2012 in Cairns, Australia, which Andreas performed as a guest MC.

After the Fes, Cozi polished tune more with inspiration she got by the atmosphere of the Fes and the vision she saw - total eclipse of the sun. She experimented Andrea’s vocal she recorded before the Fes with many FX plugins and scattered over the tune, and then original version was released from us as a digital EP in 2013.

Then this year 2025, inspired by a booking on the legendary DOME stage at Europe’s biggest outdoor festival, Ozora Festival official (Hungary), She decided to reworked on it with new grooves and extra synth layers, and other bits.

As a result, new version ‘ D.I.V.E (Dome Edit) ‘ successfully enlarged whole sound scapes without loosing original’s organic atmosphere, but with tighter rhythm section and desert hinted instruments, perfect for barefoot dance under the sun or star … Or blasting out on the dusty road or hill top path while driving.

Tomocomo on ‘ Jungle Love ‘

TOMOCOMO is a Japanese producer who had been known for her 90’s Goa-Trance style production, featuring hypnotic layer she plays on analogue synthesisers.

She usually produce dance floor focused tracks, but her first collaboration with SUPERCOZI , ‘ Jungle Love ‘ revealed her diverse capacity on creativity.

Both hailing from TOKYO, two female producers whom has been pursuing their own Psychedelic sound for years, finally met in Oct 2024 during Cozi’s Japan tour ( It was a wedding party of their common friend and a Japanese legend Tsuyoshi Suzuki).
As a natural result, their first collaboration was born.

They shared immense respect and affection for 90s psychedelic chill-out, so Cozi crafted a basic track with organic, hypnotic grooves that stirred TOMOCOMO’s imagination, paying homage to the vibes of 90s psychedelic chill-out.

Ventilated by the basic track, TOMOCOMO recorded various analogue synth parts in Tokyo, then Cozi finished the track in her home studio in Nice.

‘ Jungle Love ‘ takes listeners into an exotic jungle on an imaginary planet with dreamy atmosphere and a subtle sensuality, fused together like alchemy.

One of four ‘ Chillpresso 3 ´ ( Our previous downtempo compilation) producers who played in Ozora Festival official this year .. was Petro a.k.a Backstage Gurus, delivered deep dubby psychedelic downtempo live set as Saafi Brothers with his partner in groove, mighty maestro Gabriel Le Mar 🔥🔥🔥

They played on 2nd ( after midnight if 1st ) August 3-5am just after a legend Alex Patterson ( The Orb ).

Their signature Dub techno infused Psychill sounds were so hypnotic, perfect for barefoot dancing bliss.

Projection mapping inside & outside Dome was so incredible and perfectly matching with their sound - Inside of Dome was packed and so was outside .. many music lovers were dancing, chilling, or just feeling the moments .. It made us feel like we were at the other planetary kingdom !!

Truly unforgettable night 😌

Sunday was the second time I’ve closed out the Dome Ozora Festival official on Sunday night and it really is a golden slot..... The best crowd, open ears and open minds and the freedom to play almost anything. Thank you, thank you you beautiful people who made it a memorable couple of hours for me . 🙏🏼🙏🏼♥️
