Not just another flight ✈️
We flew to Saint Junien via Calais this half term to start renovating our little escape 🇫🇷

Flight plan and landing information to follow.
Any tips as always more than welcome as this is a slightly different route as compared to Paris or Bergerac (Via Le Mans) We wanted to get the customs in Le Touquet however the runway was shut on that day due to an incident and had to divert to Calais and wait for the immigration officers to arrive.

If Inari isn’t on your itinerary yet, these slides will convince you to add it. Thanks to the tourism board, we experienced the ultimate winter wonderland through the eyes of the locals.

Here is the exact breakdown of our hosted itinerary—including our travel route—so you can recreate this trip of a lifetime! 👇

Our route took us from London into Rovaniemi, followed by a cozy coach journey up to our shoreline cabin at Holiday Village Inari (and back home via Ivalo to London, though direct flights pop up in peak season!).

From high-speed snowmobile rides and husky safaris to eating reindeer soup by a campfire in the wild and having a snowball fight on a frozen lake, this was the ultimate Arctic escape.

We spent our evenings enjoying stunning local meals at Hotel Inari’s restaurant and simply taking in the breathtaking, untouched wilderness.

We have visited Lapland a few times now but the never been to the capital of Sami culture, which is also away from the city and gives you an authentic feel for sure ❄️
