What sounds like a bad football joke 🤡 is, sadly, just another day in UEFA’s reality.

In early July, the two “top contenders for the European throne” 👑 – from countries that aren’t even sovereign – faced off in a clash of semi-pro dreams 💭.

In the end, Lincoln Red Imps triumphed …only to get knocked out in round 2 by Red Star Belgrade 🇷🇸. Shock? Not really. 🙄

But let’s be honest for a sec – did this whole thing really need to happen? ✈️🧳
Do two amateur teams need to travel across Europe for this?

Of course not. Everyone knows they won’t go far.
But the fact that it still somehow “pays off” 💸 just proves how ridiculously comfortable life is in Europe 🌍✨.

This evening, the FIFA Club World Cup Final takes place – between Chelsea 🔵 and the current dominant force from France 🇫🇷, Champions League winner Paris SG 🔴🔵.

Like both semifinals, the final is being played at MetLife Stadium 🏟️ – home to the New York Giants and New York Jets – located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just outside New York City 🗽.

FIFA plans to hold the tournament every 4 years in the future – but there has already been criticism, especially from Europe.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has stated he will do everything he can to prevent another edition... 😳

So could this be the first – and maybe even the last – Club World Cup Final ever in this kind of format? 👀
