30/12/2025
As 2025 winds down, we look back on a year of deep work, big risks, and quiet beauty.
This was the fifth year of Badlon — five years of making, unmaking, and remaking. We released Issue 5, themed Love, S*x, and Soul, with 5 covers, 34 contributors, and 454 pages of tension, tenderness, and radical honesty. To mark the occasion, we stepped offline and into Paris with PEEP SHOW — our first-ever physical exhibition, curated by Alexander Burenkov, where sculpture met photography in an atmosphere of intimacy and voyeurism. Over 500 visitors passed through the space in just two days — proof that even in an oversaturated world, slow art still holds.
Beyond the print, we moved online — and we moved fast.
Over 100 web projects came to life this year, each one expanding the Badlon universe with new voices, bold aesthetics, and emotional clarity. We opened our most ambitious Open Call yet, receiving 135 submissions for Issue 5, and printed 3 that captured something rare. This platform has always been about more than visibility — it’s about vision, and this year, we saw it multiplied.
Next: we drift into OTHER WORLDS.
The theme of Issue 6 invites alternate realities, imagined futures, and transformed identities — not to escape, but to reimagine.
Thank you to everyone who read, submitted, created, wandered through our spaces, or whispered about us online.
From all of us at Badlon Magazine — Happy New Year.
See you in the next dimension.
