POSTERS OF THE WORLD

🏆 A Posters of the World dedicated to director Cédric Klapisch, who’s about to receive a French Cinema Award from Unifrance – prize that pays tribute to a film industry personality of international stature working to promote French cinema around the world.

🌐 Cédric Klapisch’s tender and universal films have long been popular with international audiences, being regularly distributed – and loved – beyond French borders. His 15 feature films have attracted 9,400,000 viewers outside France over the past 30 years! 🎟

🇪🇺 It is, of course, the ‘L’Auberge espagnole’ (‘Pot Luck’) trilogy – + the series ‘Greek Salad’ – which follows a group of students embarking on international studies via the Erasmus programme, that has made him a major contemporary filmmaker. But there’s of courseiously so much more!

🙎‍♀️🙋‍♂️Cédric Klapisch’s films sure say a lot about France, Europe and contemporary youth (and especially Romain Duris 😃), but above all, they always evoke the place of the individual, whether in a couple, in a group, in a family or even in the society as a whole. « Where do I stand amidst this crowd? » seem to say his characters?

🌍🌎🌏 Enjoy this selection of international film posters!

Tribute to Brigitte Bardot (1934–2025) 🕊️

As an actress, she marked French cinema through a body of work that extended far beyond a single image. From And God Created Woman to Contempt, Viva Maria!, and The Truth, her performances reshaped the way femininity, desire, and independence were filmed, often resisting convention.

🎵Duets: Alex Beaupain & Diastème on Hear Me Love (‘Joli Joli’)

Duets brings together those who shape films from behind the scenes.

collaboration on Hear Me Love (Joli Joli), a French musical that blends romance, cinema, and songwriting.

They reflect on how music and mise en scène intertwine to tell the story of Elias, a writer adrift, and Léonore, a celebrated actress, two characters whose fleeting New Year’s Eve encounter unexpectedly leads them back together on a film set at Cinecittà.

A conversation about rhythm, emotion, and how songs can become a narrative engine. 🎶

Docufy: 1874, The Birth of Impressionism
-
In this interview, directors Julien Johan and Hugues Nancy look back at a turning point in art history.

150 years after the first independent exhibition of Monet, Renoir, Degas and their peers, 1874, The Birth of Impressionism revisits the bold collective gesture that challenged academic rules and reshaped modern painting.

Blending archives, fiction, and a striking 3D reconstruction of the 1874 exhibition, the film brings to life the youth, doubts, and creative freedom that sparked one of the most influential artistic revolutions.
