Atua Blues, c’est la rencontre entre deux talents rares, deux cultures diverses mais tellement complémentaires et une volonté bien chevillée au corps de mélanger tout cela dans une sorte de pot commun où le blues (pour la colonne vertébrale), la soul (pour l’interprétation) et la country (pour la touche « exotique ») se retrouvent pour accoucher d’un album tout simplement exceptionnel. Atua Blues c’est donc Grant Haua, le génial bluesman maori qu’on ne présente plus et David Noël, le charismatique chanteur des Supersoul Brothers, le groupe palois dont tout le monde parle. Porté par quelques pépites tels « River Blues », « No Competition », « I Get The Blues », « What Have We Done » ou l’émouvante reprise d’ « Amazing Grace », ce « Two Roots » porte magnifiquement son nom, rencontre au sommet de deux cultures liées par une passion commune, ce que l’étonnante reprise de « My Sweet Lord » chantée en anglais, maori et occitan synthétise à merveille.
