Another full day of snow in Paris! Took a long walk and inspected the city in white.

Was rather lovely watching Parisians experiencing this remarkable and unusual snowfall, grown men throwing snowballs, parents bringing sleds to pick up their children from schools, and wildly empty roads. The city was calm.

Lina, my Swedish wife, assures me that all Swedes know the secret to walking in snow (something about twisting your toes). As an Australian, I’m just slip slidin away all over the place and happy to be part of it.

Snow in Paris! Took the family up on the coulee verte elevated walkway for a snow fight and a look around. This is probably the most snow I’ve seen in Paris in ten years!

Extremely beautiful Christmas this year in Provence. Here are the little ones posting a letter to Pere Noel in a town illuminated by Christmas lights (L’Isle sur la Sorgue).

The big dinner was a treat too - lots of cheese, wine, and the traditional 13 desserts.

“I heard these three loud bangs... someone was trying to get in..."

A scoop for the old Earful Tower here. Two listeners to my show, from the US, were IN THE APOLLO GALLERY at the Louvre when the thieves broke in! Right there!

Jake and Holly reached out to me after, they said they only were in that room because I was banging on about it on the podcast a while back.

So I went to meet them last night and recorded their amazing story. It’s out on podcast right now. Please listen, it’s quite dramatic. Since then - some of the biggest tv channels in the world have reached out to share the story too. You heard it here first :)

Shocked (and fascinated) to hear about the big robbery in the Louvre today.

The Apollo Gallery (the room that was targeted) is one of my favorite rooms in Paris, the Crown Jewels inside are astonishing treasures.

Details still emerging, but I’m wondering if they took this crown from Louis 15th, which really caught my eye (and everyone else’s) last time I visited.
