Le projet est titanesque, l’édition de l’arrangement l’est aussi ! Nous sommes heureux de vous présenter le résultat de ce travail, où chaque détail aura été pensé pour faciliter le travail des interprètes.

L’édition propose notamment - en plus du conducteur - des parties séparées reliées au fil (oui, oui !).

Une bonne idée de cadeau à mettre au pied du sapin ! 😉

«  Durant ces cinq années de travail, un objectif a toujours été au cœur de nos préoccupations : le résultat sonore. Celui qui différencie la théorie de la pratique. Et en cela l’arrangement que nous proposons ici se base d’abord sur le texte musical mais a été révisé par notre écoute. «

Ravi de vous présenter « N40 » d’ , une pièce pour guitare seule dédiée à dont vous pouvez retrouver l’enregistrement sur son dernier disque « Kithara » paru en 2025 💿 !

« Lorsque j’ai rencontré Sotiris Athanasiou pour parler de ce projet, il m’a dit qu’il souhaitait « quelque chose qui vient de loin », sans savoir que la plupart de mes compositions commencent justement avec cette indication notée sur la partition. 

J’ai immédiatement entendu le début de la pièce, entièrement en harmoniques naturelles, comme un écho à la musique des sphères de la Grèce Antique, aux proportions des intervalles purs, découvertes et théorisées par Pythagore.  »

🇬🇧 • Delighted to present N40 by Elisabeth Angot, a solo guitar piece dedicated to Sotiris Athanasiou, whose recording can be found on his latest album Kithara, released in 2025!

« When I met Sotiris Athanasiou to talk about this project, he told me he wanted ‘something that comes from far away,’ not knowing that most of my compositions actually begin with this very indication written on the score.

I immediately heard the beginning of the piece, entirely in natural harmonics, as an echo of the music of the spheres from Ancient Greece, of the proportions of pure intervals, discovered and theorized by Pythagoras. »

Heureux de vous présenter notre première publication de l’année, dédiée à !

« Avec la Sonate n°7, j’ai souhaité renouer avec une plus grande clarté formelle - notamment avec des carrures de phrases plus simples et évidentes - tout en bénéficiant des apports de cette période féconde de recherche. Ce chemin m’a naturellement emmené de nouveau vers les chants et les danses des Balkans qui m’inspirent tant.

Pendant cette période de composition, Andrea De Vitis, musicien que j’admire, a été une source d’inspiration constante. C’est donc tout naturellement que je lui dédie cette Sonate n°7. »

« With Sonata No. 7, I wished to return to a greater formal clarity — notably through simpler and more evident phrase structures — while still drawing on the insights gained during that rich period of exploration. This path naturally led me once again toward the songs and dances of the Balkans that inspire me so deeply.

 During this period of composition, Andrea De Vitis — a musician I deeply admire — was a constant source of inspiration. It is therefore only natural that I dedicate this Sonata No. 7 to him. »

Nous sommes très heureux de vous présenter notre première publication de l’année, la Sonate n°7 d’ dédiée à !

« Les Sonates n°3 à 6 ont été un véritable terrain d’exploration et d’expérimentation pour moi : évidement au niveau formel, mais aussi en confirmant un langage plus personnel et en cherchant à le developper. Avec le recul, je pense avoir tenté lors de cette période de m’éloigner de la source initiale que représente la musique traditionnelle bulgare dans ma démarche.

Avec la Sonate n°7, j’ai souhaité renouer avec une plus grande clarté formelle - notamment avec des carrures de phrases plus simples et évidentes - tout en bénéficiant des apports de cette période féconde de recherche. « Sonatas No. 3 to 6 were a true ground for exploration and experimentation for me: obviously on a formal level, but also in affirming a more personal language and seeking to develop it. In hindsight, I believe that during this period I was trying to distance myself from the initial source that traditional Bulgarian music represented in my approach.

With Sonata No. 7, I wished to return to a greater formal clarity — notably through simpler and more evident phrase structures — while still drawing on the insights gained during that rich period of exploration. This path naturally led me once again toward the songs and dances of the Balkans that inspire me so deeply. »

Fuminori Tanada (1961-2025)

Profonde tristesse que d’apprendre le départ de Fuminori Tanada.

Poète des sons, il créa une œuvre singulière et profonde dont émergent, notamment, deux pièces pour guitare : un Octuor Concertant - chef d’œuvre d’orchestration et de raffinement - ainsi que Raining Garden I, œuvre pour laquelle nous avons eu l’honneur de travailler avec lui.

Le 12 Juin dernier, nous avons assisté à la création, en sa présence, d’Echoing Bells II, véritable Opus Magnum de Tanada San.

🇬🇧 • Deep sadness to learn of the departure of Fuminori Tanada.

Poet of sounds, he created a singular and profound work from which two pieces for guitar emerged, in particular: an Octuor Concertant - a masterpiece of orchestration and refinement - as well as Raining Garden I, a work on which we had the honor of working with him.

On June 12, we attended the creation, in his presence, of Echoing Bells II, a true Opus Magnum by Tanada San.

« À mi-chemin entre la composition et l’arrangement, ces œuvres font entendre textes et mélodies glanés dans le répertoire populaire du XVème au XIXème siècle. Cette relation au folklore se retrouve chez de nombreux compositeurs romantiques et post-romantiques espagnols et participe au renouveau de leur école de composition. »
